Eight is Great

Turning EIGHT is a big deal in our house because it means they’ve reached what we consider the age of accountability.   It’s great because they get more privileges, perhaps not so great because along with those privileges comes more responsibility.

Eight is great because it  is also the age they get to chose whether or not to be baptized.  Emma chose to be baptized.

Her baptism was so nice.  We had tons of family in attendance and my dad and sister and her family even drove 600 miles to be here for it.  It was a beautiful day, one I know I’ll never forget!

Congrats and congrats, for both exciting things. We (and by we I mostly mean Hubby) are Catholic so they get baptized right after birth (with more to come later) or they are supposed to. #3 is still waiting. His parents are BAAAAAD!

You must be SO proud of her. I really didn’t know that you could choose to be baptized in the Mormon religion so young! Wtg beautiful Emma!

What beautiful pictures! I know from planning 3 baptisms myself that as happy and exciting as they are, they are also a lot of work for MOM to plan!

Congratulations to you all! What a special day for your daughter and your family! Eight is such a precious age, and what a wonderful decision she’s made. I know you’re one proud mom!

Wow, that’s great you let your children choose whether or not they want to be baptized. Did any of them choose not to (sorry, still kinda new around here).

PS – Left you something on my blog.

I love her dress! I’m looking for something similar for Grace who is going to be a flower girl in June. What a special birthday.

Congrats to cute Emma. Does she Remember that one of your girls will marry Jacob? What a special time for her and for your family. Jacob will be baptized this year too. How can they be growing up this fast?

There sure were a lot of 8’s this month in blogland. I don’t have another baptism for another year and I’m envious. She’s so beautiful and is just glowing for her special day. Happy birth day!
