This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of California Restaurant Month for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
One of the things I love most about living in California is the FOOD. We have really, really great food, and since the population is so diverse, we have a wonderful selection of cuisines to choose from. I have to say though, that a trip to California isn’t complete without sampling the amazing Mexican food found in Southern California. California Restaurant Month is this January, the perfect time to treat yourself to dinner out. California has fresh seasonal offerings that you definitely want to sample {smiling}. Just about anywhere you go throughout the state you can find gourmet or casual menus and innovative chefs with mouth watering dishes. Like my favorite. La Tolteca. If you are ever in the eastern Los Angeles area, you’ll have to give La Tolteca {Azusa, CA} a try for delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. It’s a family run restaurant that I’ve been frequenting for over 20 years with a casual atmosphere and amazing food. You’ll find fresh homemade chips and salsa, tortillas and more, just begging to be devoured. Don’t forget to try the carnitas tacos and the carne asada plate. Trust me.
