I can’t believe it’s dress up time again!  I don’t know where the time goes!  This year we had a Halloween party to go to where dressing up was mandatory for me, so I actually dressed up, and wonder of all wonders, it’s actually kinda of fun when your costume isn’t lame!  {{laughing}}

Here were are all dressed up for the pre-Halloween parties last weekend.

1950's housewife

{1950’s housewife}

rapunzel {Grace as Rapunzel with her friend Snow White}

Grace and Emma both made their costumes with their grandma.  Super fun to see their costumes to come together by their own hands!

dorothy wizard of oz

{Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz}

Hockey player

{Garrett as a Hockey Player}

viking

{Jacob as a Viking}

I wish I had had Jeff make a tutorial for this costume.  The fir came from a girls vest we bought at a thrift store and the base of the costume is a Luke Skywalker costume, also from a Thrift Store.  Jeff completely transformed pieces that we picked up and assembled this costume for about $25 including hat, shield, ax, and sword.

karate guy

{John as a karate guy}  No description needed.  {{smiling}}

Happy Halloween!  What do you have planned?

We’ve decided to only feature one awesome linker each week.    We hope this will mean that all of you will be excited about linking up and visiting our favorite.

3d ultrasound

Nothing happier than a new baby baking!  This week’s feature is the 3D ultrasound that Krystyn from Really, Are You Serious? shared with us!  Pop over and see if she’s adding another girl to her 3 lady household or if a boy is making an appearance!

Make sure to check in with my co-host Dude Mom, too!

  1. You guys are totally rocking every single one of those Halloween costumes! Your housewife is SPOT ON!

    I’m wearing an orange shirt..with a jack o lantern on the front…just like the last 3 years:)

  2. I love all your costumes, but the Viking is my favorite!!

  3. I love looking at what people are dressed up as for Halloween. That viking costume is awesome!

  4. All the costumes are amazing! My absolute favorite is the Viking one – being Swedish and all. 😉 And seriously??? MADE them?? SO impressive! Oh, and Princess Nagger wants to know where the tree is on the Viking costume – you know, the ‘fir’. 😉

  5. I love all their costume choices! You rock that 1950s housewife outfit!

  6. Wonderful costumes! It makes me sad that my older two girls aren’t dressing up this year… I guess you get to a point where you just don’t do it anymore. I think that it’s because people look at teens as too old to trick or treat.

  7. awesome costumes….
    i can not decide which is my favorite…
    i have no skills at all, so luckily broxton wanted a storm trooper costume and we bought it for him 🙂
