Wordful Wednesday – Fishing in Utah

Wordful Wednesday 411: Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words.  It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try.  Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

These are the last of our Utah vacation pictures.  You should know that I’m patting myself on the back right now for finally getting through them!  It’s the little things in life these days that make me feel accomplished.  {{smiling}}

Jeff and the boys spent one morning fishing.  I spent the morning wandering around taking pictures and flitting back and forth from camp and the lake.  It was so picturesque that I couldn’t stay away……

Plus some nice one-on-one time with Jeff.  That doesn’t happen nearly enough.  Our conversations always seem to be interrupted by other conversations that need to take place urgently by the kids.

I’m not sure how many lines Jeff baited and cast and untangled and cast again, and I happen to know that there was a bunch of nibbling going on, but not one, and I mean not one fish got hooked.  Which was A-OK by me because I feel badly for those poor little fish who actually get caught.

Do you like fishing?

  1. I am not a fishing fan.. lol, but my hubby wants to take our son so bad 🙂

  2. I have many great childhood memories of fishing with my dad. It has been years!

  3. I”m not a big fan of fishing which is probably strange since my parents LOVE it! Fish & worms are slimy… I don’t touch them.

  4. So glad you guys got some grown up time.

The fish..I sure do like to eat it, though:) But hooking sure is icky.

  5. looks as if everyone in the family had a great time 😉

  6. Love the picture of you and the hubs! Looks like such a relaxing adventure 🙂

  7. Well, *I* don’t fish, but my husband is a maniac! He’s already begun to bring our boy out to the lake to get HIM started!

  8. Looks like you all had a wonderful time – love that photo of you and Jeff!

  9. Looks like you guys had an awesome summer!!!!!!

  10. It’s been many years since I’ve gone fishing, but I do love to fish – I used to go fishing with my dad all the time. Can’t wait to move back to Washington State so I can resume where we last left off! 🙂

  11. What a beautiful place. It has been a long time since I have been fishing, but I did have fun when I did. I would have been like you walking around taking photos. 😉

  12. With two kids, it was a challenge to stay on top of lines and bait and tangles and whatnot, I can’t even imagine what he dealt with! What a patient guy. It’s beautiful out there, Angie!

  13. I used to love fishing, but my husband doesn’t like it very much. Not your typical family I suppose, but we live near some good fishing. We should get out there. Beautiful pictures!

  14. Looks like that would be a great way to get out of Dodge for the day. I grew up going fishing- my step dad likes to fish bass tournaments with his club- so it was expected that we all know how to fish 🙂

  15. Kids love to fish. Seems like kids-fishing would be an oxymoron, since it involves patience and waiting, BUT they still all love it. Lots of fishing at Powell, and lots of fish bites too! Those damn blue gills got me 3 or 4 times, on the butt! Had to keep moving or you were fish food!

  16. That looks so peaceful and relaxing. What wonderful memories.

  17. I’ve been fishing! (Yelled so as to erase last week’s revelation that I’ve never been camping).

I can see why you wouldn’t be able to leave the scenery; it’s gorgeous and looks so serene.

  18. Gorgeous photos, gorgeous family and gorgeous YOU! Love these!

  19. I just want to sit by the water now!
