Preserving Memories for those #RememberWhen Moments {YesVideo}

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of YesVideo.

A few years ago my dad gave me a Christmas present that meant so much to me.  It was footage of video shot from when I was a child.  It was especially special because I was able to show my children their grandmother, whom they’ve never met.  It was the first time they saw my mother as a real moving, talking and breathing person, rather than just the 2 dimensional face they were used to seeing in the photos at home.  Plus, they were able to see that once upon a time I was young too.  That’s always a bit shocking to children, I know.

Preserving family memories is not only important, it’s a fabulous gift because it’s meaningful and long-lasting .

So, if you are interested in showing your kids how many times your parents can capture you picking your nose #RememberWhen or how often you can roll your eyes, then you’ll definitely want to check out YesVideo.

I’ve found that there is something that is so real and raw that can be captured on video that is missing from photos.  I can joke about being caught picking my nose on video, but no still picture could capture my expression when I played in the snow as a child, opened my presents on Christmas morning, cried when my brother blew out my birthday candles or played an angel in the Nativity on Christmas Eve like video could.  These are memories that I was able to share with my children with the help of companies like YesVideo!

  1. Oh, Angie! I can’t express how much I WISH videos of my dad existed! I would love to see him and be able to show my kids, too. Sometimes I wonder if I got any of his mannerisms or what his voice sounded like. I love having videos of my own kids, though. We watch all of our home movies frequently (we have preserved dozens of them through YesVideo).

  2. I want to take the time to record my grandmother and her wonderful stories. I have to catch her in the mood.
