Wordful Wednesday – Winter Colds

Wordful Wednesday 411Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words. It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try. Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

I haven’t been so sick in years.  My kids usually get sick during the winter.  I’m used to that.  What I’m not used to is being sick myself.  On numerous occasions. I have been sick FOUR times this winter and I’m none too thrilled about it.  It’s seriously hard to be sick when so many things still need to get done.

I guess it’s a good thing that I happen to have a husband that is a pharmacist and that since I’m a Vick’s Blogger I was given a mighty hefty care package to get my family through the winter.

See this cache of Vick’s products?  That’s what it looked like when I got it.  Now, it’s looking downright anemic.  We’ve used that much of it.  If next winter is this rough, I think I’d better get some stock in cold medication!  Fingers crossed that I’ve paid my dues to the cold and flu gods and that the rest of this winter is enjoyed in health!

Have you been sick this winter too?  What have you been doing to stay healthy?  I need some serious tips!

Have you been over to visit my co-host Amanda at Parenting by Dummies to see what she has to be Wordful about?

A special thanks to the makers of Vicks for choosing me to be a Vicks Blogger!

Oh Angie…I should have linked a photo of my tissue-chapped nose! As long as it’s not the tummy bug, I have to say I am grateful!

Wishing you and your beautiful family HEALTH!

Sorry you have been sick so many times Angie. Knocking on wood, I haven’t been sick at all. But I was in your shoes last year. I was sick for months with a cough that just wouldn’t say die!

I hope you feel better soon {{hugs}} and ps….love Nyquil. 🙂

Fingers crossed but this year has been pretty uneventful! Last year… ugg… last year was terrible! Everyone was sick and it was just passed back & forth no matter what I did.
NyQuil… the liquid burns like hell!

Thankfully (being pregnant and all) I’ve only been sick once this winter. My little one? Sick 4 or 5 times. It really sucks. But we’re a Vicks family too. She’s slathered in Vicks as we speak. And I’m kinda obsessed with the smell 😉 Hope everyone in your house feels better soon!

oh no! I hope you feel better soon!
It’s awful to be a sick mama (not sure what’s worse, when the kids are sick too or when they’re all healthy…)

Maybe because it’s been so warm here but we’ve made it through alright so far (knock on wood!). That’s quite the arsenal you got there. Hope you’re all well and stay that way, Angie. xo

Luckily, I’ve only been sick once this year (knock all the wood from here to infinity). Hopefully you are done with the germs. Hell, I hope I’m done with them too, but if the people in my office have any say so, their open mouthed coughs are gonna doom me yet.

Oh you poor thing! I hope you feel better soon! This year has been sucking in the sick department – both Princess Nagger and I caught a cold before Christmas which returned about a month ago and has continued to stay. I blame Mother Nature – she hasn’t fully decided if it should be winter or spring weather so far this winter! 🙂

Hope you get feeling better soon. I haven’t gotten sick in years… (knock on wood) but I can swear by Lactobacillus Acidophillys ( you know the good kind of bacteria)

Boy do I hear ya on that one! Hubby and I have both been suffering from a cold for about 5 weeks now. As soon as we think we are getting over it, it comes back full course. Calgon, take me away!
