Wordful Wednesday-{the one in which I pass the ‘reign’}

I started Wordful Wednesday on August 27, 2008.  Since then, I’ve never missed posting a Wordful Wednesday entry along with some sort of  linky so we could all be one big linked-up family. It’s hard to believe that what started out with a mere 33 participants now regularly has around 200 participants!

Do you hear that sound?

It’s me giving you a standing ovation for helping to make something quite big in the blogosphere. I want to thank all of you who are regular participants and those that link up only occasionally for your support.  It really does and has meant so much to me.

See this picture?

It’s me saying goodbye (to hosting Wordful Wednesdays, that is).  {Wearing my brand new Twisted Silver necklace, by the way.  You can read more about it here}.

I’m handing over the Wordful Wednesday reign to none other than Amanda, A.K.A  Dumb Mom.  Since the inception of Wordful Wednesday, Amanda has never missed participating.  Never.  That fact alone leads me to believe she’s going to be one exceptional hostess.  Since I know Amanda well enough to count her as a personal friend, I can assure you that she will be a phenomenal hostess.  I can guarantee you that she’ll be a whole lot funnier than me as well.

So, as I turn my baby (my Wordful Wednesday Meme) over to another, I want you all to know how much I’ve enjoyed the interaction I’ve had with you in the phase of my life that can no longer be.

Now that all of my babies have been pushed out of the nest for the better part of each day, so must I leave the nest and the comfort of my computer.

Be sure to click on over to Parenting By Dummies and link up your Wordful Wednesday post there.  This week, and every week in the future!

    I’m not going to miss you, because I won’t let you leave me. You’re still going to accept my text messages, daily emails, and crank calls, I mean late night phone calls that I blame entirely on the time difference, right?!

    Honestly, you know I am going to miss having you around the blogosphere so much, Angie. You have been my most greatest blogging inspiration and I am so very thankful that you consider me as a friend. Just so dang happy the feeling is mutual. And, I promise to take super good care of your baby. Cloth diapers, organic food, all of that good stuff The Dudes never got. It’s the Ritz for you, baby, all the way!

  8. 66

    I actually teared up. That’s nuts. But, it’s the end of an era!!!!!!! Amanda will carry the torch beautifully.

    And, Angie, you are just too gorgeous for words. Seriously, it’s not fair to the rest of us. Just stop.

    I really enjoyed the visits from your blog. Now I know you will still be blogging, cause it’s an addiction and we all know after a few years you’re hooked. So you will still be visiting, voicing your opinions and thoughts and well maybe even post now and then about your going-ons.
    May this time be blessed for you as your mind grow more and more, I know New things will be ahead. For you see, I started at this blogging late in life and this new adventure has enlightened my life.
    Now I must surf over to meet Amanda of Parenting By Dummies.

    One of (if not THE MOST) favorite meals I cook when I go cmpniag is the fresh fish I catch from the river or lake.You say that it will be HOT, so I am not sure if there will be any water in the river where you will stay. S-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O (pulling out my Cliff-notes on Creative cheffing while outdoors)How about BEEF STEWS, (O.K. you ask for cool I presume you mean TEMPERATURE-wise ideas); For an entree, I would prep. simple sandwiches with cold (iced) drinks %teas or lemonade.Or if you are planning to stop at any Roadside Rest Areas, a re-heatable sliced beef dish fits the menu just fine!
