Wordful Wednesday – My New Phone & Tea Clothing

I’ve been waiting for what seems like years for an iPhone.  My husband convinced me to wait for the newest iPhone {that we knew would be released this month} and I’m so glad I did.  For one thing, I now have my own personal assistant named Siri and what’s not fabulous about that?  I also now have the camera and video camera that I’ve been DYING for in my phone which by extension means…. that I now have apps that I HAD to have like Instagram and Hipstamatic and Camera +.  I’m seriously so smitten with my new phone that I’ve barely been able to put it down.

One of the first orders of business when I got my phone was to get to know Siri.  For the most part, I left that up to child #1.  She asked Siri all kinds of questions; I told her what to do.  I really just want her to do things for me, you know?  Like schedule appointments and send my dictated texts and tell me where I need to be going.  Those things are important to me, although if I want to know her favorite color, I only have to ask Grace.

My second order of business was to download the photography apps I’ve been coveting for as long as I’ve been coveting an iPhone.  Once that was done, I went a little wild taking picture after picture after picture of part of my gaggle of adorable children wearing their oh. so. cute. new Tea Clothing.

Of course, by now you’ve probably figured out that this introduction was just my wordful prelude to showing off my kids and plugging Tea Clothing since I think:

  1. my kids are truly cute
  2. Tea clothing is worth plugging because it’s well made, it’s cute, and I love their Modern Mexican collection.  Plus, I’m giving away a $100 gift certificate to their store this week.  If you’d like to enter, and I hope you do, just click here.

Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, only WITH words. It’s for those of us that can’t contain the chatter, but in a good way. More info. in my tabber box titled WW on the right. Thank you for playing along!

Don’t forget to hop on over to my co-host Amanda’s place (Parenting By Dummies) to see what she has to be Wordful about today!

Next week we’ll have the special linky up for everyone who has a “something spooky” photo to share.

*Disclosure:  Tea Collection sent my children samples of their new holiday line to try out.  Love getting to plug companies I already adore!

I would love an iPhone. Too bad my hubby’s phone took a “swim” (fell in the toilet at work) so he got the new phone and I am stuck with my old one until we can afford to upgrade!

You’ve got the right to show them off they’re adorable. Hi Girlfriend, How ya doin’? Sorry I haven’t been around. I’ve been really busy and you thing you got everyone, and then turn around, and always somebody gets lost in the shuffle. Have a great day!

Oh, I am so with you!! I want an iPhone SOOO badly…our stupid phone contract doesn’t expire for another year!! I love the pictures you took, and your kids ARE cute!! 🙂

Hubby and I opted for Android when we finally upgraded our DumbPhones to SmartPhones… 😉 I’ll have to see if the photography apps are available in the Android Market (so many are dual-available). I’ll probably end up playing with my phone a lot more if that’s the case! 🙂 Your kids are (of course) adorable – I’ve never heard of Tea clothing before…off to check out your giveaway! 🙂

I had the original iPhone (still have it actually; I let the boy use it to watch downloaded Elmo and Yo Gabba Gabba and we use its iPod in the house) for years. Seriously. I was one of those people who felt the phone just needed to make and receive calls. And then I decided to splurge and haven’t looked back since. I didn’t upgrade it until the 3G last year. I doubt I’ll get the new one until next year sometime but I am looking forward to Siri.

And those are some pretty cute kids! I especially love the flower in her hair.

Well of course, they are ABSOLUTELY just adorable!

I got the new iPhone too. Siri is a TRIP. Ask her how to hide a dead body…..

I was scared to ask when someone told me to. Thought she’d call the cops. HA. But really, ask her and see what she says. 🙂

Yay for you! I am looking forward to inheriting my dad’s old iphone as soon as he figures out how to get his stuff off of it… crap, that could take YEARS!

Oh well. I’m not that techie and all these new fangled contraptions really just baffle the hell out of me. Talk about old dogs and new tricks…

Super cute photos of the kids btw. Amazing that they can get such a good camera in there with everything else, and way more convenient than lugging around a camera.

Hi Rhona,I was really itesrneted in your last entry about your Loch Ness Marathon experience. I was amazed that it was almost exactly the same as mine. Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago was my first marathon and I went into it slightly smug and injury free and at around 13 miles ended up with the ouside of my knees feeling like rusty gate hinges. I finished in 5 Hours 11 minutes sore and shell shocked. I have been doing ITB stretches but wondered how you managed to get over this hurdle to be able to handle the very impressive training regime that you are following now. I have lost motivation slightly since Edinburgh.Ruth
