For the past few weeks we’ve tried out having a prompt IF and only IF you would like to use it.

This week the prompt is: MOTHERHOOD. Let’s see it in all its beautiful forms.

I’ve posted this picture before. I’m posting it again because it screams motherhood to me. I have all of my babies with me, connected, and we are heading towards one common goal.

That’s kind of what motherhood is to me. Loving up my babies and trying to help lead them in the right direction. I pray I’m doing a decent job.

For Next WEEK, The prompt is:

Sleeping. Kids sleeping…….you sleeping. Your dog sleeping. Totally up to you. 🙂

PLEASE let me know (with an asterik by your name or blog title) if your post is about motherhood. If it is, and you are the winning Wordful Wednesday entry, you’ll recieve TWO things. First, a feature on Eliza’s blog with your winning entry, AND secondly, a set of aden + anais Zoo Muslin swaddling blankets (pictured below).

For once I'm actually early! Since I haven't linked up in some time now, I thought I shouldn't procrastinate.

    What a sweet photo, Angie.

    Milk and Honey Mommy says

    Angie,

In a weird way, my picture is a reflection of motherhood. Right now it is the only one I have of my three children and me. They walk in my shadow as I teach them about life and I hope to follow them like a shadow always protecting them.

  8. 47

    Milk and Honey Mommy says

    Angie,

Oops! The picture of you and your children is just lovely. It's one of those that I'm sure not only you, but your children too, will appreciate (if not now) definitely when they grow older.

  24. 106

I couldn't decide if my post qualified as a motherhood post or not–although I do think only a mother would be willing to spend hours pulling nits out of her kids' hair…

    Blessings!

  25. 113

    Postcards from Wildwood says

Beautiful photo of you and your children, Angie. I recognise it as being from the same photoshoot as the one in your sidebar … that is, unless you always all wear denim and white! And yes, I agree with you about motherhood and my post says something not too dissimilar.
    Janice.

  26. 114

Finally getting time to come back and comment on your picture. The baby's sleeping, the husband's at karate – such a lovely time of night. 🙂

I think all the pictures you've shown from this photo shoot have just been stunning – you have one heck of a photographer.

Was this a candid shot? I love it. I see so much strength in you in this picture. It's such a beautiful shot, and I hope it's somewhere on your wall at home.

  36. 235

I vividly rebmemer the feeling that swallowed me whole when my first son underwent an MRI (at 4 months of age! in order to verify that he didn’t have a brain tumor pressing on his optic nerve!). They had to sedate him and signing the form that outlined the risks was like holding my hand over an open flame. It did feel like a sword piercing my heart. I rebmemer thinking, What have I done, opening myself up to this kind of pain? I love reading your writing that reminds me of the mother I have in Mary.
