Wordful Wednesday-I blinked

Welcome to Wordful Wednesday……for more information, see “WW” in  my handy dandy tabber box in my right side bar.

I blinked, and suddenly my itty bitty babies were riding big kid bikes without training wheels.

Excuse me while I have a mini melt down.

Sniffle, sniffle, sigh.

I want my children to grow up and become independent, but sheesh.  Give me a little more time to get used to it.  I have a feeling I’m going to blink again and my oldest is going to be in college.

*My friend Robin from Around the Island (incredible photographer living in Israel), entered her portfolio into Artists Wanted, a serious international competition for emerging photographers. Beyond the chance of winning the judges’ grand prize or popular vote prize, after the competition the portfolio database will also be made available to a wide range of industry professionals, gallerists, etc. Voting for her portfolio by awarding it between 1 and 5 stars will help her garner as much positive attention as possible and increase her exposure among the industry movers and shakers.  It only takes a second to click through to Robin’s portfolio and rate it (preferably highly wink.gif). You can vote as often as once a day. Let’s help our fellow blogger get the recognition her work deserves!

They do grow up so fast, don’t they? I remember I couldn’t wait for my babies to start crawling, walking, feeding themselves, talking… and now I just want time to slow down a little bit so I can hold on to their baby selves a little longer. 🙂

Off to check out your friend’s portfolio and rate it. 🙂 Happy WW!

Love this! Your boys are still babies. My twins can’t ride bikes yet at all! Our nieghborhood is very hilly though and terrible for novice riders. I guess I better get working on them before they go to Kindergarten. Gosh they grow up fast!

Oh I soooo know what you mean. I just had a similar moment that I wrote a post about (probably put it up later this week) where I realized that my daugther is going into middle schoool next year. Middle school! Time sooo flies.

Loved Robin’s portfolio! Voted already, and will be back to vote more. 🙂

Stopping in from someone else’s WW…I read a post recently on another blog that said, “the days are long, but the years are short.” It immediately came to mind looking at your photos!

I am with you on that blinking thing — 4 more years and I’ll have one out of the nest and one to go. (Although the protracted teenage years don’t always make me all misty eyed!).

Today, when I don’t care about spelling errors (rare, but it does happen!).

OH that first picture brings back so many memories of my little twinks. I know what you mean about the blink. It is crazy!

I’ll be sure to go by and vote for your friend!!! That is awesome!

I have a similar picture of my twin boys laying together in a blanket and I so remember thinking will they ever grow? Now they are 2 1/2 and I want to put a brick on their heads! They grow too fast.

It’s scary how fast out little ones grow up. Last night I watched a video of my cousin’s little girl and it took me back to when my kids were that little. Sometimes I miss those days.

This post just sums up how I feel every single day. I was looking at my three year old daughter’s baby pictures last night for the first time in a while and it does not seem possible that she was really once that tiny and that now, in the blink of an eye, here she is, singing, dancing, playing with her imaginary friends and making me marvel anew every single day

I can’t believe your four year olds are wheeling around without training wheels, wow!

Voted fantastic for Robin, loved her photos, hope she does well in the contest.

You used to have a button we could grab that worked better on blogger. I don’t know if you moved it or why I’m not seeing it but blogger does not seem to want to accept your button some weeks.

    Any suggestions?

My mother-in-law warned me when my first son was born that he would be 30 if I blinked too long. He’s now almost 11 and his brother almost 6 and I am beginning to see the truth in that statement. They do grow up on us so fast!

Why is it that looking at pictures of tiny twins, mine or someone else’s, makes me want to cry??
They seriously do grow up too, too fast!
