This year it’s my wish that you and yours have a year filled with joy, peace, prosperity and good health!

{I was going to post a bunch of Christmas pictures, but this year I decided to put the camera away and enjoy the moment instead.  I already regret not having pictures, but it was absolutely LOVELY to enjoy the moments as they happened in real time and not through a lens.}

What is your wish for the New Year?

  3. Your brood is looking mighty happy. Happy New Year to you all!

  4. Sooooo true.. We take pictures for the memories of the special moments but being behind the camera takes you out of those moments.

  5. My wish for the new year is to finish what I begin and to do one thing at a time!

    You’re so brave to have done that, but isn’t it necessary nowadays? I have to consciously leave my camera and my phone in another room so that I can relax and enjoy! Hmm… maybe THAT is what I wish for for this year? Being more present in every moment! 🙂

  6. They look so happy! I took a couple pictures and then put my camera away, too. I am glad I did.

  7. LOVE that shot! And I know what you mean – I didn’t take as many pictures as I usually do during the break and enjoyed the time together instead. 🙂 Happy New Year, Angie! 🙂

  9. Linking up for the first time via Parenting By Dummies. Many happy wishes for you in the new year. My wish for the year, well, I haven’t quite settled on what exactly it is. I need a bit of time to ease into the year to figure out the vibe. One goal though, is to finally get my photos organised. Oy. The mess.

  10. Your kids are getting so big!! They are too cute. I have been putting my camera down a lot more too. Good and bad I suppose

  11. I didn’t do a holiday recap or anything like it. I spent time at home with my family… simply enjoying the time with them and not working!

  12. Awesome pic!!

  13. Again, your ability to get all five kids happy and smiling is astounding! 🙂 Happy new year!
