Wordful Wednesday – Feeling Like Spring

Wordful Wednesday 411Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words. It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try. Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

I’ve been feeling like Spring lately.  I’m not sure if it’s because of all of the “Spring” work we’ve put into our backyard, or the blossoms on the trees, but I plan on spending hours outside soaking in the sights and sunshine.

Maybe if I get lucky my neighbors will offer me some comic relief while I sit out front, too.

Is it starting to look like Spring in your parts?

Have a Wordful post to share with us?  Join us in our linky AFTER you check out Amanda’s Parenting By Dummies and these 4 awesome posts from last week’s linky!  We pick our 4 faves every week to feature and it’s just our way of saying thanks for sharing your moments with us!

  • Michelle from One Crafty Mom presents a post that is so full of eye candy that my senses went a little crazy.  It’s like looking and a fabulous Pinterest Board, but Michelle took all the pictures!
  • Rachel (Following in My Shoes) may have a big bill, but her son’s new smile is worth every dollar!
  • My favorite kind of day is the kind where my kids do a lot of smiling and fall asleep exhausted, find out what kind of day is Multiple Mama’s favorite as well!
  • Sometimes babies just don’t want their pictures taken and it makes for some really cute pictures.  Honey Mommy shares some great ones!

  1. You have the most gorgeous set-up there! I’m jealous, and it really is making me think of Spring!

  2. I am so incredibly jealous! It’s still dismal here… nothing is green at all… it’s all brown and dead looking. Given the Michigan weather it won’t change until mid-April or May.
There is a ray of hope though…. it’s supposed to be 60+ on Wednesday!

  3. i absolutely LOVE your yard!!!!
i would love to sit for a bit.. or even play in it!
that grass is so green 🙂

  4. Love all that luscious green!

  5. Your yard is SO green! Gotta love Cali. It’s definitely already Spring here too. I feel ya! 🙂

  6. What? Wait – where are you again? Dreary Chicago does NOT look like this, although I can’t complain. We had a freaky 68-degree day today in the middle of March! I’ll take it 🙂

  7. Those are beautiful shots ,can’t wait for springtime… 🙂

  8. do I spy brand new grass? looks inviting!

  9. YES! 80 degree days… new leaves swaying in the breezes … it’s gorgeous right now.

And, SQUEAL! Thanks for highlighting my post last week. You just made my day!

  10. I’m so excited for Spring! It’s been so windy here the past couple of days, but before that, the weather was gorgeous! Love how green everything is in your parts – I miss colors in nature that aren’t sand… 😉

  11. Those pictures are beautiful and remind me of spring. We’ve had very odd weather here lately. One day it’s snowing and the next we’re wearing shorts.

  12. your backyard looks like a page out of Better Homes and Gardens! No comment on what mine looks like. I love seeing the first blossoms of Spring. The Pear trees and Dogwoods are in bloom here in Dallas

  13. Love the spring snapshots! I would love to have some grass again. Our yard is all sand. Not so pretty.

It’s spring here too and my allergies are killing me. ACHOO! 😛 My whole family has the green snot crud. It’s lovely.

I love that you and Amanda are featured your favorites now. That’s such a nice thing to do to show some blogger love.

  14. We’ve had such a mild winter this year, but everything is still ‘sleeping’ since it’s been cold lately. I can’t wait for it to warm up and having things start blooming – and be nice enough to get out and clean up the winter mess we currently have going on in our backyard! 🙂

Love all the shots – can I come hang out in your backyard until we get some better weather? 😉

  15. I was starting to look like spring…until it snowed again:-(

  16. We have buds in our garden! But that doesn’t mean that we’re out of the danger zone. Afterall, I live in Canada, and I’ve seen it snow in May.

  17. With a back yard like that? I would be soaking up a lot of sun too. Its starting to look like spring here too. But its felt like spring for most of the winter though

  18. Can I move into your outdoor room? Cause between your gorgeous lawn pictures and Dumb Mom’s beach pictures I’m over our mild Michigan winter and ready for full blown warmth!!

  19. Looks like Spring, too!

  20. I’m very jealous of all your green grass and blossoming trees. Here in DC the trees have buds on them and some of our flowers have bloomed in our yard (way early!), so spring is right around the corner. Just have to get through a few more weeks of chilly weather hopefully. I can’t wait!!! DC in the spring is my favorite time of year.

  21. This “winter” (can we really call what we’ve had winter? Really?) has been so…unwintery. Today it’ll hit 60 but was barely 30 when I left home. Yesterday the high was mid 40s. It’ll be in the high 60s by the end of the week. In February. I have no clue what to call this pre-spring that has been here since the non-winter. Your pictures are beautiful, though, and it looks like Mother Nature has gotten it right at least someplace.

  22. Spring? What’s that? We haven’t seen spring around these parts in forever! Though I just got back from Arizona a few days ago and got a happy little dose of spring while there. So nice… But now I’m back in cold-as-hell Missouri. Boo! Send us some sunshine, Angie!

  23. Oh how much I long for Spring! I just can’t wait.

My flowers are starting to come up, so hopefully it won’t be too long.

Thanks for featuring me! I can’t believe I showed up late to my own party. :o)

  24. I WISH it was starting to look like spring around here…. although the weather has been getting warmer.

Fingers crossed it will stay b/c we have been known to get snow in April.

  25. How beautiful!!

Today it is feeling like spring. It is gorgeous here in Buffalo. (not quite as green where you are. The trees still have a few months before they start to do that here.)

  26. Whoa, that is one beautiful yard! Yes, I sure am ready for Spring and the unusual 71 degree day here, today, is making me long for it even more!

  27. LOVE the blooming trees! And looks like new grass. Beautiful. Being in CA helps doesn’t it? And hey did you mention my post somewhere got a boost in traffic today! My biggest hugest thanks!
