Wordful Wednesday – Daily Life

Wordful Wednesday 411: Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words.  It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try.  Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

You may be noticing a common theme on my blog lately.  It goes something like this:  “Did I tell you that my boys are in baseball?  And the girls are taking ice skating lessons?  And #3 is in cub scouts and #1 has mutual each week and #2 has achievement days every other week and so I no longer have a life?  Oh.  I did tell you that?  I wasn’t sure that I had.  Do you want to hear it again?”

No?

How about some more pictures then of what  life looks like during the times that I’m taking my kids to practices and activities?  Because it’s all I can do to keep every 15 minutes (or so it seems) of my day incremented appropriately so that everyone is where they are supposed to be without trying to remember to get pictures of anything else.

By the way, #4 has turned into quite the chick magnet at the park.  If he keeps going at this rate, he’ll have friends that are girls at every school around….could be helpful when he’s 16 or so…..

Have you turned into a chauffeur and personal assistant  to your children like me?  Tell me I’m not alone in this!

  1. Aren’t those sweet images of the ‘every day’ what life is truly made of? Great moments captured, Sweet Angie.

  2. I definitely felt like a chauffeur sometimes, but I just had two to take around. I can not even imagine your life!

  3. Yes, yes and yes! Thank god for like minded moms who love to talk, text for coffee orders, and always bring snacks!

  4. My two boys are into baseball too…and they each have practices during the week and games on weekends. I try not to schedule too much other stuff for them cuz I really don’t want my life to be all about schlepping and chauffeuring.
And… I just remembered that you have many more kids than I. Don’t know how you do it!

  5. Ok, the twins are adorable, but that smile on Garrett– man oh man, that kid is drop dead gorgeous! When he turns 16, you are literally going to have to get a big stick to beat the girls away!

  6. Soak up the every day. It all goes far too fast.

  7. You seriously amaze me. I have no idea how to keep up with my 2! lol. You need some really big honkin medal for being such a good mama!

And thanks so much for the sweet shout out. I’m so happy my little one has made a couple good friends in our new home state.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Happy WW!

  8. Can’t even imagine what life is going to be like when the soccer and baseball and karate and cub scouts starts….I better enjoy my “quiet time” now!

  9. So cute! Oh the life of a mom. I hear ya!

  10. Oh man. I can definitely wait to become my kid’s chauffeur. Though I think between playdates and doctor appointments we might already be there! 😉
Though you all look like you’re having a blast in all those in between moments.

Thanks for the shout out on my breastfeeding post!!

  11. LOL, well I guess this post answers the question I posed at the end of my WW post!

  12. It doesn’t matter where we mother, our taxi duty appears to universal. My Eldest is just about ready to take her drivers. So we will see if that makes any difference in my day.
    Dana

  13. The role of a suburban mom is to deliver – once via her body and then by car forever after ;).

  14. Nope, moms have no lives. We’re just taxi drivers with cameras. lol You got some cute shots.

  15. Your kids get cuter by the day! 🙂 Is it bad that I usually nominated the hubby to be the chauffeur more often than not? I do my fair share, but I do delegate more often than not. 😉

  16. You are NOT alone! I only have 1 child at home and caregive for my Mom and I tell you, I am NEVER home! I like to think of this as the “giving” part of my life. I will get to do my thing when the house is empty and quiet.

  17. Soccer season is here and I’m almost ashamed to admit that I hate it. Almost.

  18. With your tribe it must feel like a chauffer. I am not at that stage yet. Though I am probably sure I will feel that way too

  19. I hear ya!!! And that’s why I’m so glad my husband coaches some of their soccer teams!! LOL

  20. Thanks for introducing me to such wonderful blogs with your features from last week! I had to laugh…this week you wrote about feeling so busy and I wrote about trying to slow down…and we don’t even have sports and activities yet! Have a good week and thanks for hosting!

  21. I’m not a chauffeur yet but is it okay to secretly wish that my kids become computer geeks who get their activities from WII Sports and XBox Kinect so I don’t have to leave our house with them? 🙂

  22. I feel like a chauffeur and my kid isn’t even enrolled in activities yet, just preschool. I cannot imagine your schedule and I don’t look forward to it

  23. It’s just starting with me but we are in the car every Monday afternoon for 3 hours, off and on so I sorta get it. I can only imagine what it’s going to be like when all 3 of mine have after school stuff!!

  24. Oh yay!!! Thanks for picking me!!!

I hear ya…I have one kid and I’m currently trying to figure out summer camps etc., you know, while working, etc…..

I just don’t know how you do it? You need a personal assistant.

  25. So far, we’ve only got 1 that’s pretty active, but she’s active every season. TKD all year round, then soccer, basketball and now hockey/ice skating and possibly tee-ball. The middle one is going to start ice skating lessons in about a month…I’ve only got 1 active one now, but I already feel your pain! I should have gotten a hybrid…gas prices are killing me!

  26. I know just how you feel! We have soccer, preschool, kindergarten, birthdays, a new stake calling… eeek! See. Now you know why I am so late today.

  27. luckily i just have one… so, not yet 🙂
hope you have a great day… and get some “me time” soon 🙂

  28. My son is 3 and is already a chick magnet. I swear he knows how to work it too. This one time we were standing in line at a Tim Horton’s and normally he is all over the donut display window but nope….he was smitten by another girl…about 18…he kept batting his eyes and saying hi…she was a melted pile of goo.
I’m sure my husband would have been proud.

  29. I haven’t yet. But you know how fast time flies – it’ll be sooner rather than later for me! *sigh*

  30. You are SOOO not alone. This phase of motherhood has given new meaning to the phrase, “taxi mom.” I have one in cub scouts, two in dance, one in gymnastics and activity days, one in lacrosse and mutual, and I am activity days leader for the younger age group. I also have 4 different school schedules; 1 junior high, 2 on one track and 1 on another (year round school) and a preschooler. It’s good times at my house!

  31. I forgot to add what cuties your boys are! I love a day at the park!
