January is a BIG Birthday month for us at the Seven Clown Circus.  The three oldest celebrate their birthday so it’s always a crazy time planning and executing family and  friend parties, not to mention delivering class treats.   By the end of the month I’m definitely all partied out.  In fact, when the doctor told me that the twins were due in January I actually did get tears in my eyes.  I didn’t know how I’d do FIVE January birthdays.   They (the twins) took pity on me and came in November.

That’s beside the point though.  The point of my post is this:

I have three children who have birthdays that  fall in January and I have a sister in law that makes said children amazing birthday cakes out of the goodness of her heart.  I’m SO grateful, and my kids are too because my cakes don’t look or taste like hers.

Are you a book worm like me and want to participate in my book exchange?  If so, be sure to sign up here.

I’m also playing along with Way-Back Wednesday this week.

I love how Jeff (I’m guessing it’s Jeff) is holding back Garrett. So funny.
Those are really good looking cakes. I might have to steal the strawberry cake. It is sooo cute.

I would have cried for you if all 5 of your circus had birthdays in the same month. That is financially, physically and emotionally draining. 🙂

    Happy Happy!!

Your January is our January, except I only have to plan one kiddie party. The other two birthdays are my mom’s and my husband’s and we simply have dinner out.

Those are fabulous cakes! I wish I can make cakes like those.

All those cakes would definitely throw a kink in my efforts to be healthy! At least you have enough people to eat most of the cakes, right? When we make birthday cake it is around FOREVER…. or at least until I eat it.

from one cake maker to another (well to your sis anyway) LOVE the cakes!! and I love that you let each one have an individual cake and you don’t combine any parties!! How did your kids get so big – what are you feeding them? Oh yeah, it’s that CA sunshine! Of which I need lots of right now! no sun in weeks!

  5. 18

    says

Wow, good thing the twins saved you from the 5-birthday craziness!! That would be extra circus-like! 😉

The cakes look almost too good to eat, almost…

FAbulous cakes but the kids…the kids are the best part of those pics for sure. 🙂

We don’t have any birthdays in the same month in our immediate family but our extended family has FOUR on April Fools Day!!

I LOVE your kids’ cakes! Did you make them all?

Amazingly, our birthdays are spread out–January, March, May, June, August, October, and December. Is that crazy or what?

    Such cute cakes!

I could not even imagine if you had to celebrate 5 birthdays in January…that would be insane! Three is probably hard to juggle, but way more manageable than 5. You would need to use February as a vacation month! LOL

  11. 82

    says

Wow, those cakes are amazing looking! I wish any of my sisters in law were that talented! (At least then they’d have ONE redeeming quality! LOL)

I bet that’s exactly how my mom felt with 3 of us kids having birthdays in December – me, then my brother and sister (who are twins) a year and 3 days later. 😉 I didn’t realize your twins share a birthday month with Princess Nagger! 🙂

Happy (belated) Birthday to your adorable kids! So nice of the SIL to make their cakes! 🙂

Happy birthday to all of the kids and good job to mom! Our busy month is in April. It seems like EVERYONE in the extended family is then. Our immediate family is not too bad. My youngest and I are a week apart and my oldest follows us up tomorrow. He will be 10 and I cannot believe it!

I also saw you posted on my prompt (10 things you didn’t know before you become Mom) from Mama Kat’s. One of mine is that my bathtub needs a garbage disposal (triplets +spinach ravioli = yuck in the tub!).

    Great blog!
