Wordful Wednesday – Family Vacation = Happiness

Wordful Wednesday 411: Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, except WITH words.  It’s for those of us that just cannot be wordless, no matter how much we try.  Add my Wordful Wednesday badge to your post (right side bar under “WW”) if you really want to make me happy, and then add your post link to the linky below. Easy peasy.

We went on a family vacation for Spring Break.  It was LOVELY.  9 Days of just Jeff and the kids and me, UNPLUGGED.  It helped that most of the time we were on a ship in the Caribbean with good food and entertainment and someone to clean up after us 24/7.  The best part though, was definitely the time spent together without Internet noise.  I had so much fun that I’m STILL having a hard time getting back to reality and sitting down to actually blog about our trip seems downright overwhelming.  So, for my first post (because more are definitely coming), I’m just sharing some of my favorite pictures of us together, enjoying each others company, without the distraction of  dings, pings, rings, kicks, texts, phone calls and all of the other fun things that iPhones, iPods and iPads bring to our lives.  🙂

Have a Wordful post to share with us?   Join us in our linky AFTER you check out Dude Mom (formerly Parenting by Dummies)  and these 4 awesome posts from last week’s linky!  This week’s featured linkers feature a photo of Babfor.  You’ll have to take my word for it when I tell you that you have to visit To the Sea to see these pictures from Tanzania.  They are amazing and each has so much depth!  Nothing is sweeter than a child “cooking” marshmallows.  Don’t blink!  As you know, before you know it, our babies have grown so much!  I hope you all had as nice a “hiatus” or Spring Break as Life Darling did!

  7. Oh, unplugging. I miss when that was everyday life! LOL! Your amazing vacation is one of the best reasons to unplug. My reason? Lazy. *sigh* But it’s just so niiiice not to be attached to my phone and computer! 😉

  8. We went away for Spring Break this year as well. I don’t usually have my children, as they usually spend it with their father, but their stepmother ended up having a baby that week, so I got an extra break! 🙂 It was definitely much needed family time!

    So glad you enjoyed it!

  9. Loved seeing the pics you posted on IG – looks like an awesome vacation! I have a deep desire to completely unplug for a month, but I’m a little worried I might never plug back in … 😉

  10. I just have to say that your husband has a twin in Canada. For real. My husband’s best friend looks just like him. I had to do a double take. Weird.
