Wordful Wednesday-{The First Day of School}

Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, only WITH words. It’s for those of us that can’t contain the chatter, but in a good way. More info. in my tabber box titled WW on the right. Thank you for playing along!

What kind of mom would I be if I didn’t post some back-to-school pictures of my kids in September? After all, sending one’s children back to school for the new scholastic year is pretty monumental, right? Especially one when becomes a crier, like I did.

I suddenly have a 5th grader, a 3rd grader, a 1st grader and TWO kindergartners.  It’s a bit disconcerting, and a big bit exciting.

And for the record?  I’ve never been so busy in my life.  I thought that when my kids were all finally in school I’d have a lot of down time.  Make that a lot of down time.  But I was wrong.  I guess that’s what happens when one over schedules all of her new-found-free-time.  🙂

Such wonderful photos, Angie! Your kids are just darling.

And as far as more time… oh my goodness. I’ve found that the more we have scheduled… school, sports, etc. the less time I have. And I only have two kids! 🙂

By the way, that YouTube video was fascinating. I may have to share that too (link to you of course if I do!).

Oh my are those big time cuties!! I’m lovin’ all those sets of Converse!! :>:> I can’t quite imagine what it will feel like when both my kidlets are in school, but I’m sure the last bit of time with my wee girl home with me will go by in the blink of an eye…sigh.

So glad I finally have the chance to play along with WW, for the first time this week! :>

So cute! I can imagine myself doing the over-scheduling bit once all my kids are in school. Heck, I remember the list I made of all the stuff I was going to do when I stopped working to stay home with my first newborn baby — I imagined so much free time, oh, how wrong I was!! It’s been 7 years and I think about 0% of that stuff got done, but I really don’t know because I can’t find the list 🙂 !!!!

Yes yes I wonder where the free time went for me too. I feel as I want to squeeze my brain.

Lovely photos of your sweet darlings.

No uniform for yours? We have to wear uniforms.

School is back in session! and it is only replaced by a new set of crazyness!
Sorry to tell you, toots, but you really won’t get any free time until they are much, much older! Don’t you just love the first day when they are all clean & pressed! for once! ((wink))

    what adorable back to schoolers.

Isn’t it funny how we can instantly fill any potential free time so quickly that we never even realized it was free time.

  7. 53

I don’t know how you do it and look forward to hearing about your adventures with all 5 in school. You will be busy and once you get into a rhythm you’ll probably have a bit more down time.

  8. 54

Good golly…..All your littles are stunning. Seriously, not one that is hard on the eyes! Miss you…..will you ever be up this way? North? To visit me? I REALLY need your help fixing up this house we just bought. Like for reals. It needs some work……..But I really do love it I have to say! LET’S CHAT SOON!!!

Aww! Too cute! I have a second grader and a kindergartner starting school tomorrow – they are really excited but not half as excited as I am 😉
Just one more to go until I get some free time. My youngest is two so I’m counting down the days to preschool!

You have a bunch of adorable kids! How wonderful to have some time in day for just you! (unless you have more that are not in school that is, lol)

    Beautiful family!

  11. 89

how adorable! Wow that is a lot of kids in elementary school.. and to think I complained about how much it cost to send my 2 this year!

  12. 92

yay for the first day of school…I just have the kindergartener and the baby and I feel like I a busy enough- but that’s nothing compared to you 🙂

BTW – I have to stop linking from my phone – It saves my prior title…so I have my new WW With my prior week title – LOL

these are great shots of the kids…and they all seem so happy to be going back to school too! I’m definitely not in the crier’s circle. I’m the mom that’s secretly rejoicing that school is back in session! hahaha!

  14. 107

We have been back to shcool for a few weeks now. I only have 2 in school right now. I was still crying on the second week but I am better now. You have such cute kids.

  15. 119

Just wait til you’ve got seminary, too, like I do! Congrats on the start of school! I know just what you mean about being busier than ever. Ahh!

  16. 125

Converse for everyone! It looks like my house lol 🙂 Your children are really beautiful – you are a lucky mama! I am also a crier. Probably always will be 🙁 I can’t help it b/c I miss them. Guess it’s time for me to get a life.

  17. 128

They’re all adorable. Try to find some time to put your feet up – you deserve it.

P.S. I double linked…the first one is bad. Sorry about that!

  18. 129

They all look so happy! And that is a big thing … all of them in school!!! I can’t imagine how you keep up with all the papers that come home though!

  19. 132

As much as I need the few hours to myself to get things done when the kids are back in school, I miss having them around. I honestly do! Summer is too short!

  20. 135

They all look so dang cute! I love Emma’s hair too 🙂 She looks so grown up.

I thought you were holding off of kindergarten this year? Not sure what I was thinking 🙂

Hope it settles down for you!

  21. 136

See? Now I want to know what you’re doing with all your free time!

BTW…got your comment on yesterday’s blog about criers and I have amended my position. See today’s post if you’re interested in me feeling like a complete a$$!

  22. 138

Gosh, I am comment crazy today! Those twin boys are SO cute – I think we need to get them engaged to my friend’s redheaded girl twins. I wish I had a picture – they are adorable and have exactly the same shade of hair. Just think of the darling redheaded twin grandkids you’d have! OK, they’re NINE, but if we wait until they’re 20 and 24, the age difference won’t matter so much!
