Win A Picnic for 4 in your Favorite National Park! #SafewayDairy

June plays double duty as National Dairy Month and as National Recreation and Parks Month.  Bet you didn’t know that, right?

The purpose of National Recreation and Parks Month is to “showcase and invite community participation in quality leisure activities for all segments of the population. In other words, it is a time for you and your family to get outside and enjoy the sunshine by visiting our nation’s beautiful National Parks!”

Safeway stands behind healthy families and are thus supporting both National Dairy Month and National Park and Recreation month.  They think it’s important for individuals to consume dairy and to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors at our gorgeous National Parks.

With that in mind, they set up a fun contest/sweepstakes that will award someone really lucky with a trip for 4 to a National Park of their choice for 8 days and 7 nights! The trip includes airfare, hotel, a packed picnic, and LOTS ($5,500) of  spending money.

Every day throughout the contest period (ends June 30th), you can play the “Dunk Game” to try to instantly win a $25 “My Choice” Gift Card.  It really is a fun game, too.

If you click on the image below, it’ll take you to the fun contest hosted by Safeway that I’ve just talked about.  You can also download coupons from Safeway or the Safeway affiliate store in your area.

Jeff and I want to take our children camping at a National Park this summer.  Do you have any suggestions for us?  I’d LOVE to hear where you’ve visited!

Disclosure: This project has been compensated as part of the June Dairy program for Safeway. #SafewayDairy

I just played, darn I wasn’t an instant winner … I did catch my strawberry in the yogurt cup though!!

I’m going to Yellowstone this summer, I’ve never been before and cannot wait! However, I’m not camping, my idea of camping is a motel 6 … I’m a bit of a snob lol!!

    Hi Angie,
I know there are a lot of neat choices for parks to visit with the family, but one I bet your kids would love is Mt. Rushmore, although it would be quite a drive for you guys. We drove there right before we moved from Colorado and spent the weekend camping. They have a pretty inspiring and patriotic program in the evening (I loved it) and it was fun to drive around the other Parks (Custer was one) and see the buffalo and climb on the rocks. The American history aspect of it was really neat, and the outdoors beautiful. I can’t think of any other National Parks to suggest that we have been to with the children, besides the Redwoods up here, which I am sure you have done at some point. If not, come on up and stay with us!!!! hee hee hee Have a wonderful summer!!!!

I love love love Yosemite! But, we don’t have reservations this year and have had to cancel the past few years because of babies. Yellowstone is awesome too, but nothing beats Yosemite! My favorite by far.
