I’m not a huge beach person. Which is ironic because I actually DO love the beach. I just don’t like all the effort it takes to enjoy it. I’m always on edge while at the beach that one of my kids will drown or get super fried (the breeze really masks the scorching rays). I’m not a huge fan of dragging all the beach chairs, towels and coolers onto the sand, and I’m really not a fan of the clean up after wards.
It’s a good thing, therefore that if I won’t take my kids to the beach (as much as they’d like), the beach can come to them.
In a manner of speaking.
Warner Brother’s Interactive Entertainment recently (June 8th) released Vacation Isle: Beach Party for the Wii. Now my kids can enjoy beach activities without the hassle of actually trekking to the beach. Vacation Isle: Beach Party features eight vacation/beach style games including:
- Skiing, Wake Boarding, Surfing, Stand Up Paddling, Ski Jump, Stunt Park & Hula and Fire Dancing.
Up to 4 players can play at once, and it’s rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
Now, the thing I love most about the game (besides the fact that my kids enjoy playing it) is that difficulty levels are adjustable so the game is “just right” for each of my children. The customizable avatars are a must as far as my kids are concerned, and the game gets them up and moving when they are inside. The games really do utilize a full range of motion from the body (the game can be played with the remote and Nunchick or the Wii Balance Board)!
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment would like to bring the beach to you. Well, sort of. They want to give one of you a copy of Vacation Isle: Beach Party to enjoy.
