Tuesday’s Tribute-Cars that burn

What is it?
Well, we’ll tell you what it is NOTIt’s Not About YOU. It’s about SOMEONE ELSE. It’s our chance, each of us, to shine our light on someone else.

Huh? Whaddya mean?
We each spend a lot of time talking about ourselves and our lives, but we are also fairly GIVING people too…Tuesday’s Tribute is a chance to talk about OTHER people, OTHER blogs, OTHER lives.

Now’s your chance to shine your light on someone or something else.

Today I pay tribute to the fact that my car has never caught fire in the middle of the desert. Something I haven’t particularly felt thankful for EVER in the past, but I am now.

Yes, I am now.

All it took was seeing THIS.

P.S. It looked like all of the passengers got out safely, and the car was the only casualty……….

I know a lady whose car caught on fire in the parking lot of the Christmas Tree Shop. I told her I would have done my shopping and then dealt with it. I mean, it was going to be trouble anyway so why waste the shopping trip.

Seeing a car on fire is crazy, right?! I never saw one until I moved to the East Coast and since I've been here (about 8 yrs) I have seen this happen on 3 separate occasions. Like, I never really knew car fires were a serious threat. Thought it was a movie thing or that it at least went out in the early 80s when Ford recalled the Pinto bbq cars. Apparently it did not! Crazy!

I saw a video clip from yesterday about a woman and her children who needed to rely on strangers to help them out of thier burning van. I too felt very thankful that I hadn't had that happen to me.

    I have a confession……
Anytime I see things like this I often, ok always Thank God that it isn't me. I am glad that everyone got out. I guess it is one of those things that you see and just say "I'm glad thats not me"

That is a great tribute to gratitude. We had a horrible accident here in Milwaukee where off-duty firefighters and by-standers saved a mom and her 2 young children from a firey fate. The best of humanity was shown on that day. It gives me hope and for that, I am grateful today:-)

Car fires are scary. It seems like the number increases exponentially as the temperature spikes along the drive up and down Highway 5, doesn't it?

Definitely something to be thankful for.

wow! my car's never caught fire either, but i did have to pick up a girlfriend once who's car was on fire. i thought she was exagerating(sp?) until I got there and was able to find her via the giant smoke plume! she said she was driving along and flames all the sudden started shooting from the a/c vents. needless to say she pulled over and ran like hell from the car!

Doyle should be amhesad of himself calling himself a traditionalists of bluegrass music. You never use a stupid electric bass and drum (give a break) in bluegrass music. What a sorry excuse of calling himself a traditionalist. You do not see other true grass groups down grading bluegrass as he is doing. Maybe he can receive a few of rap singers to be a component of the non bluegrass group. The circus will likely be coming through town in the few weeks. Maybe he can pickup a few clowns then. So So sad.

Zune and iPod: Most people cpmraoe the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog plroftam you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
