This is a Sponsored steam mop review and giveaway written by me on behalf of  Swiffer BISSELL® STEAMBOOST™.

Successful Holiday Entertaining always begins and ends with clean.  I’ve always been a sucker for clean floors, so I was thrilled to hear about the new Swiffer BISSELL® STEAMBOOSTsteam mop perfect for making my floors shine before, during, and after parties (and all year round).

I was eager to give the Swiffer BISSELL® STEAMBOOST™ a whirl for my holiday dinner party,  so I got straight to work.  I found that it definitely had the power to steam clean floors with steam and Bissell’s innovative cleaning technology of Swiffer to  penetrate and remove the soil that no one wants on their floors.

Here’s how the Swiffer BISSELL® STEAMBOOST™  works:

  • The steam’s heat activates the dirt dissolving solution in the cleaning pad. Together, they break down dirt and trap and lock it away.
  • Working the Swiffer BISSELL® STEAMBOOST™ is easy.  You just:
  1. Attach a textured steam pad to the Swiffer {no other cleansers are necessary}.
  2. Fill the dispenser with water.
  3. Plug in the mop and wait for the SteamBoost to heat up {it should take about 30 seconds}.
  4. Mop your floor and allow to dry. {hold down trigger for steam}
  5. Dispose of Swiffer pad and wash hands.  Voila!  You are done!

Note: SteamBoost™ is light, easy to use and safe on tile, finished wood and laminate floors.***Do not use on waxed or unfinished wood floors.

Tips for Successful Holiday Entertaining

Swiffer steamboost

Make sure your home is clean when guests arrive – this includes dusting, cleaning the floors {see above} and de-cluttering.  {Don’t forget to deep clean the bathrooms!}  No one wants to attend a party where they feel that anything is less than pristine.  One of the things I love about the SteamBoost™ is that the cleaning pads smell fantastic.  So, if you run it over your floors right before your guests arrive your house will smell amazing upon guest arrival as well looking sparkling clean!

Decorate for the occasion – if it’s a holiday party you are throwing, make sure your home looks festive.  If you are throwing a dinner party, be sure that the table is set and that the little details are attended to before hand.  It’s the little details that make all the difference.

Be prepared – If your party is supposed to start at 6 pm, be ready to begin at that time.  No one likes a frazzled hostess.  Trust me. {Here’s how to make the DIY Felt Leaf and Acorn Garland shown here.}
