I stopped watching TV a few years ago. I still watch a few minutes here and there, but I never sit down and watch a whole program. There were a few factors that influenced my decision, but I think the biggest factor was that TV just stopped catching my interest. I realized that there were a lot of other things that I’d rather do than watch TV, and so many programs were just not appropriate for my gaggle of small children. Stopping watching TV wasn’t some big deal or obstacle to overcome for me; I just stopped watching. The only programs that I really missed were Project Runway, What Not to Wear and CSI.
Last week at BlogHer ’11 I received a USB device from TLC at the Fabulous Fashion File Party and guess what it contained? Um, only a sneak peak of Season 9 of What Not to Wear, and this week in the Savvy Living Community (I am a Community Leader there) I found this discussion about Project Runway.
Now I’m kind of sort of wondering if maybe I should take up watching TV again because both seasons look awfully good…
I’d love for you to join the conversation about Project Runway (isn’t it so cool how the discussion is embedded here?). How fun will it be to discuss favorite designers, who got eliminated and what styles were the best?
TV time, here I come. Don’t tell anyone.
And PS. One of the highlights of BlogHer was walking through the EXPO with my cohost for Wordful Wednesday and seeing women come up to her and ask if she was on What Not to Wear!
