Privacy-At Long Last

It only took 7 months, 7 weeks, 4 days and 3 hours:

I can’t tell you what this means to me.  I no longer live in a fish bowl.

Plus, I think they look pretty darn spectacular.

They DO look pretty spectacular! I have always loved your sense of style. It’s so warm and inviting without being cluttered. 🙂

Oh, and. Clever title…with the three sevens. 🙂

My house is sort of an U shape with all those windows right in the middle, so it’s really nice to have the privacy I’ve been living without!

  2. 10

Yay for those shutters. They look really nice. 🙂

Before we moved in to our place, curtains were at the top of my list and the first two nights we were here with no curtains, I hated the fact that anybody could just see in.

  3. 19

Love it! I have lived in my house for over 4 years now, and we still don’t have any draperies. We have blinds (not nearly as beautiful as yours), but I STILL haven’t gotten around to window coverings.

What does that say about me?!

  4. 20

They look beautiful. I can see why you love them. It would make me crazy to live in a house without blinds or drapes. You definitely deserve to be excited!

  5. 27

I’m looking for some of that in our house. We’re still at it trying to get everything done. Since you guys are finished, would you be interested in coming over and lending a hand? I’ll feed you really well.

    The house looks great!

  6. 39

Those look amazing! Please tell me where they are from. Since we got our new windows last summer some of our windows are still sitting open to the world. I’m sick of watching TV with a blanket over my head. Need help ASAP!

  7. 49

We went just as long without window coverings on our front window, and you can see straight into the neighbors house. I totally understand the fish bowl feeling. Especially when you forget to grab a towel BEFORE you jump in the shower. 🙂
Congratulations on your new Window Coverings!

Look at you! All fancy pants with the plantation shutters.. is that what they’re called?

And go ahead. Tell me your living room looks that CLEAN AND WHITE all the time. Go ahead. 🙂

I got your email.. and I’m swimming, but I’ll get back to you.. !
My post today is about my trip last week! yay for mom vacations!!

Actually. I don’t like things out of place. That’s the formal living room, so we are not in there all the time. Our everyday living areas look lived in! 🙂

  9. 58

They look just lovely and so cozy too! Your home looks so welcoming 🙂
(I just had my husband put some up on our lower floor of our house as well…for the same reason)

  10. 61

Your house is looking beautiful, Angie. The shutters look wonderful. And what a relief when you can see it all coming together.
PS. I SWEAR I only pressed Mr Linky once. Perhaps you can delete numbers 78 and 79….?

  11. 63

We’ve lived w/o curtains and/or drapes in our downstairs windows for so long that I get claustrophobic when I’m in a house with proper window treatments! Crazy, I know, but true. I do love your shutters, though. You’ve given me an inspiration…maybe this summer?

  12. 75

Looks amazing. Sorry I have not been by with you moving I do not have you in my dash board. I use google reader sometimes. I just need to get better at coming by again. Sorry..

Love the house and work you did. Amazing..

    Happy Wednesday..

They look great. We live out in the woods, but there is nothing on 4 huge french doors in our living room and it kind of freaks me out!

  14. 88

I think Mr Linky is down… I can’t see him.

So nice to have privacy at last. I hate feeling so exposed – and even worse having the neighbors comment on what you were doing the night before!

I LOVE them…I can’t believe what a difference it makes. So much more homey..I don’t think that is even a word, but you know what I mean;)

Hey there! I’m new around these parts, but I’ve heard so much about your blog! I’m visiting from Le Musings of Moi, and I decided to join in the fun.

I love those blinds! I kinda wish I had done those in my house. I know what it feels like to live in a fishbowl. The entire front wall of my living room is a window, and our house is on a quiet one-way street, but right at a stop sign, so cars just stop in front of my house often. Awkward.

LOVE the shutters. Super cute. And, two decades from now when you don’t want them on your windows anymore, you can hang them on a wall or use them as room dividers! =^) Or send them to ME and I’ll do that.

  18. 108

    I love the shutters!
Hey, I had a bit of trouble accessing your page earlier today. I was going to email you but obviously had no problem this time. Just thought I’d let you know in case others experienced something similiar. I know it would help if I could tell you what time it was but I just know that it was before 930 am.
