Leaving my dot com behind

Well, friends, I’ve bid my 7 Clown Circus dot com address adieu for now. In the span of a week I’ve felt super important with my own dot com, but I also lost most of you because google reader was not updating my feeds. So, until I can figure this mess out, I’m back to my blogspot address so that my feeds are updated and you come to see me. I’ve missed you.

You can't get rid of a stalker that easily.

  8. Jenn@ The Crazies says

So strange how that happens. I was getting your feeds but I know I lost some readers when I went for the dot com too…

  9. I am glad that you are back but sad that your technology is not playing nice:-)

  10. Aw, that's too bad. I guess the old lesson, don't fix what's not broken might come into play here?

  11. S Club Mama says

I wondered what happened! All of a sudden all of these posts of yours was popping up. 🙂 Glad to have you back!

  16. Kelli @ writing the waves says

I was wondering why your posts weren't coming up on my feed. Good luck sorting that out. 🙂

  17. I tried the dot.com thing last year and never even got it to work! And, there was NO support from the company I got it from. I think I'm still going to get charged $10 a year for something I can't use!

  18. Tiffany @ Lattes And Life says

I bought my domain straight through my Blogger dashboard and it did all the work for me. My feed and stat programs all switched on their own. Easy peasy.

  19. Have you tried using feedburner with your new dotcom. http://www.feedburner.com

  20. sassy stephanie says

Yeah, about five of your posts hit all at once. I was wondering. Blogger and my Google Reader seems to always be screwed up, so I thought it was just me.

  21. Welcome back Angie!

  22. Twisted Cinderella says

    Welcome back!

  23. Hmmm…so what's the next plan of attack? How did you originally make the switch…did you use the blogger dashboard? Will you try something like godaddy.com? Do you have feedburner? Does it make a difference? Can you tell I'm just trying to learn from your mistakes so that I can make the switch without ANY problems!?! 🙂

  24. Live.Love.Eat says

Hmmmm, I didn't even realize but that's because I just come on over without Google Reader or anything. Nothing can keep me away 🙂

Hope it works out for ya.

  25. I feel your pain, I've been having odd bloggy issues since I switched to a .net…and people are having issues commenting…by the way, for some reason I couldn't comment here for months, but can tonight. LOL

  26. Hello, I have a suggestion until you get your problem figured out. You could use this address as a front page for your other site. If you post your title and a link to your new site here everytime you post on your other site then you will still update on feeds but only have to post once. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try again. My family does this with their private blogs so I can sen you an example if that would make it easier. I love reading your blog though!

  27. How annoying is that? Hope you figure it out soon, but a dot com is exciting, isn't it?!

  28. I bought my .com address on Yahoo Business and just set it up as a masked redirect to my blogspot address. It didn't affect my feed or anything because it didn't alter the blog.

    How did you do it?

  29. Janis @ SneakPeek says

same thing happened to me when I switched from blogspot to .com I juts took the hit because my reasdership was so low anyway…haha. But it was very hard. I have since figured out the way I "should" have done it in feedburner as a redirect…oh well.
