Jumping in with JumpStart-Week 3

April 24, 2009 By Angie

I hope that last week you took advantage of JumpStart‘s willingness to interact with you and answer any questions you may have had.

I noticed that Erin answered questions on my blog in the comments section and hope that some of you took it a step further and found her on Twitter or through the JumpStart Blog.

As promised, this particular JumpStart campaign (the GoodNCrazy JumpStart campaign) that I’m involved with will end this week with a giveaway. Two of you will recieve a 6 month membership to JumpStart AND a CD that is age appropriate (kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade) for your child. Here’s my favorite part: the winners get to pay it forward. In addition to the winners 6 month subscription and CD, they will be offered a 3 month membership to then giveaway with a review on their blog (so, the winner must have a blog) . {Good N Crazy and Stop, Drop, and Blog have already selected their winners, so this is your last chance to win!} 🙂

Easy Peasy.

Here’s how you can win:

1. Visit the JumpStart Blog and tell me what “seeds” you think are most important for success.

2. Follow Erin at JumpStart on Twitter (JumpStart_Erin) for an additional entry. Be sure to let me know you’ve done so.

3. If you commented on my last two weeks posts, remind me and you’ll get one entry for each comment.

4. Did you contact Jumpstart, even if it was just commenting on their blog? Let me know and I’ll give you an additional entry for that as well.

Good luck!

Contest ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m. pst.

I’m going to say responsibility, because it makes the others easier. (Well, maybe not science – some people just won’t get science, no matter how responsible they are.) 🙂

Very cool! We already have a membership so I will give everyone else a chance to win. I just wanted to tell everyone that my 5-year-old LOVES this membership. She is learning so much and having so much fun with it:-)

Well, I'm way beyond kindergarten & 2nd grade, but wanted to stop by and say "hi." This sounds like a great giveaway, for sure!

I think all four are important in their own ways.

Healthy Eating fuels your brain and your body.

Patience is a must have as we grow up.

Science is important so you will understand how your body and the things around you work.

Responsibility is a must learn for everyone at some point but the younger the better.

    Thanks!

    I love this idea!! 😀

    1. For my oldest, I think science: well, he is a science nut. He loves it. Science and math are definitely his strengths (and he’s only 5!!). So I like the extra lessons there. A seed I would suggest that wasn’t mentioned? Independence: sometimes doing something all for yourself is very rewarding and can lead to even greater successes. This is the seed I think is most important for my Little Man.

    2. I am following JumpStart_Erin, and 4. I did comment on their discussion board on Facebook (http://tinyurl.com/d7cgy2). I am @EllaJo08 on Twitter and Ella Jo on Facebook.

Sorry I missed your sat. post…I took on a new day job, and so I am gone all day now instead of all night!! (well 2 days of the week, which happened to be friday) Mike brought home a CD pack from jumpstart yesterday for ages 4th-6th grade to give the kids something to work on over the summer. It goes through everything, math, writing, social sciences, I am sure you know, why am I telling you this…anyway, I had to ask him if he had been reading your blog!! He swears he hasn’t, but I am not sure what prompted him to buy them, since it is not ever summer yet:)
