I’m Back!

It feels like I’ve been gone for sooooooooooooo long.

Did you miss me?

Wait.  Don’t answer that.

I’m guessing “No” since I had such great guest posters while I was gone who surely made you forget that I was MIA.  I would be remiss in not inserting a HUGE THANK YOU  to all of my guest posters RIGHT NOW.

Moving along.

You know how when you haven’t done something in a long time how it seems almost foreign?

Yep.

That’s how I’m feeling right now about blogging.  What to say?  What to write?  And, how to find the time to visit everyone that I want to?

I guess I’ll just jump right in and give you a sneak peak of what I did during my bloggy break and then I’ll practice my blogging skills with more detailed posts through out the week.  Because, you all want details, right?  Right?

Just respond yes.  🙂

On my bloggy break, I did all kinds of things with my family, things that I haven’t done in too long.  I didn’t just take a bloggy break, I took a computer break, and I really think my kids AND my husband LOVED it.  We swam, we ate, we talked and laughed and played.

We drove up the coast and basically inhaled the splendors that California has to offer.

We saw trees that are thousands of years old in the Redwood Forest….

Redwoods

And drove along some of the most majestic beaches around…….

17 Mile Drive

Golf course in Carmel

A highlight for all of us was visiting beach after beach with seals taking a break from whatever it is that they usually do.

Look at all those seals!

Grace and I even snuck (is that even a real word?) in a little concert, which was surely one of the highlights of Grace’s life………….

Taylor Swift Concert

Remember how I told you that I spent a ton of uninterrupted time with the loves o’ my life?  Well, I wasn’t kidding.

My Loves.

It was sublime.  Except for the part when my kids got sick (and by sick I mean started puking everywhere) one right after the other.

I’m so glad to be back!  I plan on making the rounds to your blogs to catch up, so when you see a little browsing being done from somewhere in Southern CA, know it’s me, even if I don’t take the time to leave my calling card.

I’ve missed you. You’ve been to a bunch of places on my bucket list and I’m jealous. Sorry to hear about the puke, but what’s a vacation without a little puke.

She is SO cute. But, her “LOOKS/STARES” cracked me up. Did you notice that? And yes, that one song with the drums and the headbanging and rolling on the stage was a little much.

Cool! Sounds like a much needed break. The puking seems to be the theme this week. I have read a few blogs about it and so far only one of mine are sick and possibly the hubby……..we had it 3 weeks ago. C’mon, give us a break!

    Glad you’re back!

That must be an unspoken law or something about mommy vacations … You can’t have one without a little puke and a little teenybopper music. The redwoods and seals, though … What a lovely vacay “bonus”!

Welcome back!! Oh I am so jealous of your absolutely beautiful trip up the coast (minus any barf) it’s been so long since I’ve done all those things, I can’t wait for the boys to be old enough to take them!

And I am so jealous you saw Taylor!!

Minus the concert and the direction, I’d have been going south not north, it looks a lot like a trip my husband and I took several years ago. I hope I get the chance to take my daughter on that same route one day. I’d love to show her all our usual haunts in CA. I saw my first redwoods in Muir Woods and they were awe inspiring. One of our first romantic get aways was actually to Carmel, ah the memories! Can’t believe sometimes that I used to live forty five minutes away from all that.

So glad you had an awesome time. I have been doing the blogging break every week it seems for a while now just to spend more uninterrupted time with the loves. It does feel good!!!

As for the seal pic, WOW. I would want to go up to them and snuggle. Were you allowed to get closer? Or would they have been scared?
