HAPPY HOLIDAYS

It’s been raining cats and dogs in these parts.

My children have been out of school for 3 days, and for 3 days it has rained non-stop, and by non-stop, I really do mean 24/7.

Just to give you a little perspective, we’ve already drained about 6 inches of water from our pool to prevent it from overflowing (the salt from the pool will kill our landscaping), and it’s about a centimeter from overflowing right now.

The kids are feeling particularly enclosed and stifled.

I can. just. tell.

And it’s not all together pleasant.

Lucky for them, I don’t hold it against them.

I feel the same way, and it’s kind of driving the Christmas Spirit away.

So, starting right now, I’m going to will the rain away and re-capture the spirit of the season, starting with wishing you and yours my very best.

I hope that this season brings you much joy, peace and prosperity.

I’ll let you know if it ever stops raining.

I’d love for you to pop on over to Mom It Forward and read the post I wrote about passing down the tradition of reading to my children.
