Extraordinary Measures

Last week I told you about an advanced movie screening I was planning to attend.  Sound familiar?  I hinted that the movie looked exceptional but didn’t give you the name.  I promised more details to come.  I was going to wear my new Heirloom earring by Twisted Silver and report back on the sensation they caused?

The movie is called Extraordinary Measures and stars Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell.  Based on the true story of John Crowley, it’s about a man who defied great odds to help find a cure for his children’s life threatening disease.

Back to my story.  I wasn’t able to attend the screening at the last minute.  Boo.  Kids.  Rain.  Unexpected happenstance.  You get the picture.  BUT, I still think the inspirational drama looks great and is one that I’m going to grab the hubs and see ASAP.  Have any of you seen it yet?  What were your thoughts?

The movie opened nationally yesterday, the 22nd and you can follow it on Twitter and Facebook.

  1. Too bad you had to miss it!

We wait for a lot of movies to go to dvd before seeing them, but this one interests me enough to want to see it in the theater.

  2. Advanced movie screenings are SO fun! Especially if you get to sit in the reserved seats with important names on them. Then people think you are someone important to and try to talk to you. It’s so fun you hardly even notice their disappointment when you tell them you are a blogger. And, I’m wearing my brand ,funky fresh, hip hop bling earrings that I JUST GOT IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, XOXOXO) to my next one for sure. Might set off a riot or something:)

  3. I literally haven’t been to a movie in years! And, I barely watch tv, except for what I DVR, so I never even see commercials for new movies. Every time Jill mentions going to see something I always say, “I’ve never even heard of it.”

  4. This movie looks so amazing, but I’m afraid it will make me cry so I have to wait until I can watch it from the privacy of my couch…and my tissue box.

  5. Sorry you missed it. It does look very good and we are planning to see it. I love a good movie that inspires.

  6. I have to be honest, I don’t have an interest in seeing this movie.

  7. I’d love love to see this movie.

  8. Sorry you missed it ….looks like a good film. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  9. This movie looks FABULOUS! I really want to see it.
