Cinnamon Rolls

So, this holiday season, I’ve got a secret weapon, and it’s name is PAM®.  For real.  Nothing is more frustrating than having holiday baking disasters just because the item stuck to the pan.

I have these beautiful holiday bundt pans that are almost impossible to get perfect results with because they are too hard to grease properly.  The point of using the bundt pans is to create cakes that have gorgeous scroll work on them, but they almost never work.  Now they do.   With PAM®.  This holiday season I can wow my friends and neighbors with baked goods that look amazing, and since that sort of thing makes me feel good {I’m vain that way}, it’s a big deal.  HUGE.  Considering PAM® is totally affordable, and has 99% Less Residue than other brands, I can confidently bake delicious food this holiday season….with success the first time around!

What I Love About PAM® Cooking Sprays

  • They really work!!!
  • The Original, Butter and Baking PAM® Cooking Sprays leave up to 99 percent less residue buildup than other cooking sprays  or margarine that you might use.  {{wow}}
  • PAM has seven specifically formulated non-stick cooking sprays!
  • Perhaps best of all, the improved formula has zero calories per serving.

Now, back to those Cinnamon Rolls…..

Cinnamon Roll Ingredients

Cinnamon Roll Ingredients

  • 7-1/2 cups flour
  • 4-1/2 tsp yeast
  • 3/4 cup sugar, white
  • 1-2/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • cinnamon
  • brown sugar, approx 1-2 cups
  • PAM® Baking Spray

Directions {step-by-step}

Step 1

Step 1:  Dissolve yeast in warm water.  Approximately 15 minutes.

Step 2

Step 2:  After the yeast dissolves add the sugar.  (You don’t need to stir it just pour it in.)  Let it sit until it bubbles.

Step 3:  In mixer, add the yeast and sugar mixture and the remainder of the ingredients, gradually.  Tip: incorporate some of the flour before adding the melted butter so that it doesn’t cook the eggs.

Let dough rise

Step 4:  At this point you could roll the dough out into a rectangle, spread with softened butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon or you could let it rise for 1 hour.  Tip: letting it rise first makes a softer dough.

Sprinkle with Brown Sugar

Step 5:  If you let the dough rise, knock it down and roll out into a rectangular shape.  Brush/spread with softened butter, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon.

Jellyroll

Step 6:  Roll into a jelly roll and cut into 1″ slices.

Spray with Pam

Step 7:  Spray your pans generously with Pam Baking spray.

Cinnamon Rolls

Step 8:  Place slices onto pans, cover with a towel and let rise twice their size.  Make sure to leave at least a 1″ space between rolls so that they can rise.  Approximately 1 hour.

Bake Cinnamon Roll

Step 9:  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Until lightly golden brown on top.

Icing

Step 10:  While the cinnamon rolls bake, make frosting.

Frosting Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 7 tbls. butter, softened
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Mix the above ingredients together in no particular order and frost cinnamon rolls.

  1. YUM! This recipe looks alot easier than some I’ve seen for cinnamon rolls lol..I’ve always wanted to try making them from scratch!!

My holiday baking tip is to make dough ahead of time such as cookie dough, and freeze it to save tons of time! You can also bake cakes & freeze them(without the icing of course lol) and then thaw them and frost them!

Thanks for the chance to win too!!

    Joey J.

  2. My tip is to make what you ban ahead of time so you can enjoy more time with the family instead of the kitchen.

  3. I set a couple of days aside, so I get all my baking done then. I am not having to do it, when everyone comes over.

  4. amy pugmire says

Make sure you have all the ingredients and have enough of them. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to make pies or a holiday dessert and ran out of something.

  5. Make sure you have your measuring implements correctly assembled, especially if you have a terrible cold right before the holidays but you’re still baking anyway – I was sicker than a dog the day before Thanksgiving one year, but was determined to make the pumpkin pies I was to bring to my family’s Thanksgiving dinner…in my foggy state, I accidentally used Tablespoon measurements on the spices instead of teaspoon… 😉

  6. im still learning how to cook. not good at it yet

  7. Sonya Morris says

Use a timer! I am constantly overcooking when I don’t!

  8. Bake cookies in advance, layer between sheets of wax paper and freeze!

  9. Always use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for stick-free and easy clean-up. Silpats is my favorite when it comes to bake cookies.

  10. Using flour on the bottom of a cake pan helps make it easier to shake free gently

  11. Oh those look so delicious! I will be trying those for Thanksgiving morning!

  12. My best holiday baking tip? When I make cookies I double the batch and freeze half the dough (preformed into balls). That way when Im lazy, I can just bake a few at a time.

  13. Be exact with your measurements!

  14. Plan your menu well in advance, and make sure you have all ingredients needed on hand.

  15. My best tip is to decide what you’re making ahead of time and do all the shopping at once!

  16. My tip is to gather ALL of your ingredients and supplies in advance.

  17. Prepare everything you can ahead of time. Thanksgiving day will be super busy!

  18. I have never had homemade cinnamon rolls. I’ve always just gotten them from Cinnabun. They are sooooo good! Oh man I wish I could bake that well!

  20. Alicia Walker says

Always have fresh spices on hand

  26. I bake and freeze ahead of time so I’m not so stressed over the holidays.

  30. Oh, my daughter and I are totally making these today!

  31. How much butter? Am I missing it in the ingredient list?

  32. My short cut is making cookies in advance and then freezing them, I also tend to do that with scones, fruit pies and pound cakes as well! I also admit sometimes when I am short on time to using ready made frosting.

  33. These look good but I do not see the amount of butter in the ingredient list? Can you please help

  34. Use quality ingredients!

  49. use a good timer
