How to Throw a Divergent Birthday Party is super simple and inexpensive! Especially, with these free printables from Amy Locurto. My first born just turned 13 and there couldn’t be a better theme to choose. The new movie release based on the best seller made for a perfect timing, although I have a feeling this Divergent will stand the test of time. We kept the party low key by inviting only a couple of friends, going shopping at her favorite outdoor mall, watching the movie, eating dinner, and wishing her a happy birthday with cupcakes at home. This eliminated a lot of decorating since I only had to decorate a dessert table. {{yay!}} So, if you are wanting to throw a Divergent Party, this post should give you plenty of ideas to get you started! “I am selfish, I am brave!” Which faction will you choose?
Decorations
For decorations, I purchased three yards of gray chevron stripe fabric at Hobby Lobby and used my pvc pipe backdrop to hang the fabric over. All of the printables I used were from Amy Locurto. They included cupcake toppers, an editable invitation and two 5×7 signs. I framed one of the signs in a white picture frame purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Cupcakes
Since there were only a few girls I cheated and purchased her favorite cupcakes, red velvet, from Panera. To add a touch of pizzazz I used two cupcake liners to accent them with the addition of the cupcake toppers.
And that’s How to Throw a Divergent Birthday Party.
