Your Captain America: The Winter Soldier Viewing Party
Run to Walmart and pick up your supplies. You’ll find the M&M’s in the candy aisle, and the DVD with the movies. The other ingredients needed for the recipes are in aisles near the M&M’s so you don’t need to travel far. {smiling} Once you’ve purchased your items, prepare your treats and have a fun night or afternoon in with the kiddos! {{fabulous}}
Hero Bites Recipe
- about 60 M&M’s {I used the birthday package because it has lots of blue and red M&M’s}
- about 60 square pretzels
- cookies and cream drops {or any other white chocolate candy}
Directions for Making Hero Bites
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange pretzels on cookie sheet in a single layer then top with one cookies & cream chocolate.
- Bake for 4 minutes. You want the chocolate soft, but not melted.
- Remove cookie sheet from oven and place one M&M in the center of each cookies & cream chocolate and gently press down on M&M.
- Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes, or place in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
- Enjoy!
Blizzard Recipe
A blizzard is that fun and fabulous thicker than a shake concoction that I’m sure you’ve all had at Dairy Queen. The great thing about it is that it has the candy of your choosing swirled in it and it’s so thick that you can tip the cup upside down and it won’t drip out. My kids LOVE them.
- 1 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream {or about 3-4 heaping scoops depending on your scoop size}
- 1/8 cup of milk
- handful of mini M&M’s
- chocolate syrup to taste
Directions for Making a Blizzard
- Combine the ice cream and milk in a blender or blending device and blend until well mixed.
- Add in candy and mix on low until combined.
- Pour into single serving cup.
- Enjoy.
- Tip: If it’s as HOT in your area as it is in mine, serve the Blizzard ASAP! {{smiling}}
