Bloggy Boot Camp Day is Here! {2012}

Looking for Wordful Wednesday?  It’s here!

Today has been designated as Bloggy Boot Camp Day 2012.  It’s the day that the SITS Girls have set aside to “to celebrate two great years of education and networking for over 1,000 women.  It’s a day to kick off another year of connections, support and learning!”

And, by “celebrate” and “kick off” of course they mean giveaway prizes. All day long. {They’ve always given away fabulous prizes and a top prize today is a fully paid trip to a Bloggy Boot Camp in 2012!}

I’ve attending 2 Bloggy Boot Camps and SITScation, which was the precursor to Bloggy Boot Camp.  Each conference was absolutely enjoyable, and HIGHLY recommendable for a new blogger.  The speakers and topics are always thoughtfully selected, the information really is germane, the company is fabulous, the food is good and the location great.  What more could you ask for?

Wanna take a walk down memory lane with me?

{SITScation, Las Vegas}

SITScation was my first conference.   I couldn’t have picked a better conference to get my feet wet.  I met so many people that had become my friends online and really figured out what was “going on”.  I’m still friends with the same women that I was back then!  I so love that!

Just for fun and for Bloggy Boot Camp Day 2012, I also pulled up some photos and a post about Bloggy Boot Camp in Phoenix (re-copied below).

I went on a Field Trip this past weekend.

That’s what John calls a weekend away all by myself.

I got to spend the weekend at the Xona Resort in Scottsdale, AZ in order to attend Bloggy Boot Camp.

Now, this may not sound monumental to you, but to me, this was huge.  It was like a rite of passage.  *I*, Mrs.-35-year-old-herself went somewhere OVERNIGHT without my husband or children.

have spent one other weekend away without my husband or children, but that weekend doesn’t count.  It was the weekend my dad had a major stroke and I flew to Colorado to see him in the ICU.  He didn’t even recognize me at first.  It was fantastic.  He’s lucky he didn’t recognize my siblings either or I might hold this against him.

Oh.  Did I  mention it was also my 30th birthday?  My dad has poor timing.  That’s the only explanation.  I mean, why else would he have a stroke on MY birthday?

So, back to Bloggy Boot Camp.

I took 5 pictures.  Guess how many turned out?

You guessed it.

One.

One.

I guess I’ll just have to keep the memories alive in my mind.  Good times.
