It’s been three and a half years since Bisco became a part of our family. I always used to scoff at people who talked about their dogs as if they were family members. And now those same people can laugh at me, because Bisco is a HUGE part of our family.
My kids learned that persistence pays off because after two years of sweetly asking me for a dog, I caved. Jeff and I chose him out of his litter when he was only 6 weeks old. He was such a sweet little thing. He looked like a little ball of coal, and unlike his sisters who couldn’t stop wiggling, Bisco was perfectly calm. Even though we went to the breeders with the intent to buy a girl, his natural disposition won Jeff and me over.
Bisco also learned that persistence also pays off because last year I suddenly realized that I’ve made him FAT. My secret of feeding him treats when no one was looking suddenly didn’t look like such a secret anymore. I’ve had him on a diet for awhile, but I can hardly stand it. My poor, sweet, lovable guy deserves treats occasionally, so I bought him some.
And he loved the EverPet Wavy Bacon Dog Treats MORE that should be legal.
He “shook” for them. He jumped for them. I do believe he would have done ANYTHING for them. You can purchase EverPet treats at Dollar General, too!
