American Girl Dolls

This mommy always thought American Girl Dolls were adorable.

This mommy always thought American Girl Dolls were great quality.

This mommy always liked American Girl Dolls.

Just not enough to shell out the cash for one a few.  Along with all of their accoutrement’s.

Until recently.

Somehow Santa got word of the need want in my household and choosing not to disappoint, delivered.

Grace and Emma with their dolls

Once mommy saw the dolls and the outfits she didn’t want to be outdone by a chubby guy in a red suit so she planned an afternoon at the American Girl Store in Los Angeles with her girls.  To “window shop” or “possibly buy one outfit” for each doll.  If they were lucky.

One BIG Bag

This mommy is a sucker.

With two very happy girls.

  1. Good Morning-

This mommy is a sucker too. My daughter loves her American Girl dolls so much-she brings one everywhere with her. I looked everywhere for a lightweight carrier….and when I could not find one-I invented one.

Please check out http://www.carry-her.com to read more about my product.

Moms love Carry-Her just as much as girls-no more carrying your daughter’s doll.

    Have a great day!!

  2. Oh wow, these are just the most beautiful dolls. I am pretty sure you do not find them here.

    • There are not very many stores here in the states. Most people buy them online. Their hair is great because it doesn’t get all ratty like so many dolls.

  3. I so want to take Claire to the store that is in Chicago. I can’t wait to make a day of it someday. I know she will love it and that I will have a great time too.

    • My girls loved it. SO many little girls and their mommies………..so fun. It DOES take all day, too if you eat at the bistro. They even have little racks for the dolls in the bathroom stalls. 🙂

  4. Love that place, as you can see in my post about going there for Cate’s 3rd Birthday and having lunch at the Bistro. Does the LA one have a bistro? They provide little seats for the dolls. Precious! Yep…I am a sucker, too.

Here’s the link to that post in case you missed it.

  5. My daughter loves her doll! Luckily I don’t have to shell out the money for her ever increasing wardrobe! Her Grandma and cousin love to buy stuff for her doll.

  6. This is so sweet. It’s expensive but look at the smiles:)

  7. Lindsey got her first one for Christmas too! I think I may have wanted it more than her, but she loves her. She got Julie.

  8. I am so glad that my youngest hasn’t gotten the American Girl bug. The Barbies are expensive enough:-)

  9. We 9 American Girl dolls. Seven are the historical dolls. My girls loved their dolls and took really good care of them. I plan on keeping their dolls for them so if they ever have a little girl they can pass them along.

  10. What a fun time for you and your girls. Look at the smiles on their faces!

  11. I have no doubt that once Gracie figures this little gem of a toy out (she and her friends haven’t discovered them yet and I don’t really know why) THIS mommy will be in trouble. It’s a really good thing we don’t live near L.A. and the store (I’ve heard it’s a wonderland).

Those dolls are really, really adorable. But not NEARLY as cute as the girls who are holding them. 🙂

  12. This Mommy is hoping that my daughter doesn’t like American Girl dolls! I’ve seen their prices. They are really cute though. I remember reading the books as a kid.

  13. I have always loved American girls too! I think last year, the doll of the hair had red hair, as does my daughter.. so my mom bought it for her and is holding on to it until she is a bit older.. much too expensive of a doll to give a 3 year old.

I have been to the American Girl Store in Chicago, loved it, my husband never wants to go again 🙂

  14. If I had little girls, I would be in dept to American Girl. Everything is so cute!

  15. debt, even…

  16. American Girls is one of those money pits. It just keeps growing and growing. Like my husbands jeep.
You have two beautiful girls there! It looks like a great day of fun!
If you’d like to stop by my blog I’m at Cake Crumbs.

  17. The guy scratches head and says…”huh?” 😉

  18. How fun! One year “santa” got word of our girls needing er wanting My Twinn dolls and of course delivered. It is SO worth it to see the joy on their faces!

  19. We’re all suckers — we should just admit it. 🙂

  20. Good for you! Now I just need a little girl so I can spoil her rotten too!

  21. That looks like a lot of fun for you and the girls. We have an American Girl store in NYC. The only reason I know that is because a friend of mine recently went with her daughters. K-Girl has never been into dolls so I’m thinking we’ll probably miss this one too, but I can never be too sure.

  22. Sometimes you just need to do stuff like this … I can tell how much everyone loved it … your smiles speak volumes.

  23. Right on! Emma wants one SOOO bad! She loves the books and movies and “NEEDS” a doll… well she thinks so anyway! 🙂 Sounds like a fabulous day!

  24. how fun for them. I’m soooo glad though, that mine are not interested. sooooo glad….

  25. Santa brought Hanna to our house last year and now Hanna has been to Australia, twice!

  26. they are so blessed to have a mama like you 🙂

  27. I am so lucky my daughter doesn’t know anything about that store! We passed it a few times and I direct her attention the opposite way. After all, she is only 3 and her best friend is Minnie Mouse, but one day her $13 Minnie Mouse is not going to make the cut and she is going to want a new friend, I just know it.

  28. I think they’re outrageously priced. But I, like you, have given into my daughters’ obsessions and they have their collection of American Girl items as well.
