Themed Birthday Parties are so much fun, and my sister threw another excellent one, her best one yet. If you are wanting to throw an Alice in Wonderland, tea inspired party, this post should give you plenty of ideas to get you started!
Invitation

1. First up, the invitation: the invitations were a Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland Custom Birthday Invitation digital file from November Blue Designs.
Decorations

2. The decorations were amazing, and I’m not just saying that because my sister has a gift for throwing fantastic parties and because I helped set out the decorations. The thing I loved best about them is that most of them were repurposed or recycled!

3. Banner/Bunting
- The banners were made with pages of an old book, colored card stock, doilies and twine. The hearts were made from 12 x 12″ card stock and old book pages. Simply cut the paper into 1″ wide strips measuring 4″, 8″, 10″ and 12″ in length. You can attach the hearts with double sided tape or a stapler. Follow this detailed tutorial here. The doily banner was so easy you don’t need a tutorial. Purchase a pack of doilies from the $1 store, fold the doilies in half, add the strand of twine in the crease, and glue them together.

5. Food. The food was exactly what you’d expect at a tea party; finger sandwiches, scones and tea, and the food didn’t disappoint. It was delicious!
- Tea Sandwiches {cucumber & dill, chicken salad, and turkey & cheese}
- Fruit Skewers
- Blueberry Scones with Lemon Glaze
- Herbal Tea & Lemonade
- Cupcakes with Printable Toppers
- Cake Pops
Extra Touches

6. Empty Frames Photo “Center”! Rachelle painted different sized “old” frames and then set up a backdrop for some fun photo opps! She even took things a step further and made props to add to the fun!

7. ”This Way, That Way” sign: a signature Alice in Wonderland piece, this sign was a hit at the party. The kids love reading the sign and posing by it for the perfect picture!
Games

8. Croquet – Because you know that an Alice in Wonderland Party wouldn’t be complete without croquet. Aren’t the pink flamingo’s fabulous? They were from Target’s $1 bin area. The big playing cards are from a local party store.

This was awesome. I wanted to be there based on pictures alone! The decorations were magnificent (of course the pocket watch made me smile).

Darling. And Disgusting. lol.
So, so, so fun! Tremendous amount of creativity and effort, I love it, well done. Wish I lived closer to you girls, then I could just enjoy it and not have to do it myself, lol, just kidding, that actually is the fun part, putting a party like that on

Why are you like the funnest mom EVER!
I am going to do this for my daughters 30th Birthday Party. She has always loved Alice in Wonderland since she was a little girl. I will surprise her with this very special theme. All the suggestions are wonderful. Her birthday is in Nov so I will set our living room up as the croquette room. Bring out our outdoor cartpeting for grass. I will have alot of fun with this one. Thank you!
