Wanting some girly-girl birthday party inspiration? Then look no further. My sister threw the best Tres Chic Parisian Themed Birthday Party for her daughter recently and I couldn’t help but share it with you. Ooh la la!

Invitation

Every good party needs a fabulous invitation, and this invitation was definitely fabulous. My sister used paper, ribbon and a few embellishments to assemble these invites. She used a paper embosser to add dimension to the background paper, a paper punch by Stampin’ Up for the paper lace edge, and the Eiffel Tower Stamp from a stamp set that she owns from Stampin Up. She tied a knot in white and black grosgrain ribbon and adhered everything to the card. The crystal top to the Eiffel tower made such a cute statement and pulled everything together.
The inside of the card said:
Ooh La la
A pretend day in Paris is waiting for you
Mademoiselle Alexandra is turning 10!

Decorations
What’s a themed party without the decorations? The decorations for the party were all done in pink, black and white. There was an abundance of hanging paper tissue pom poms, and they were so cute I could hardly stand it. They looked so tres chic! Plus, they were super easy to make and very inexpensive.

Here’s how to make the tissue paper pom poms:
They are really easy and inexpensive to make. Only three steps to follow.
1. Using 8 sheets of tissue paper, make 1-1/2 inch wide accordion folds.
2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half and twist around the center of the tissue paper. Using scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.
3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time.
For detailed instructions and photos go to Martha Stewart’s tissue pom pom tutorial.

The table center pieces for the Tres Chic Parisian Themed Party were so adorable: bird cages (with porcelain doves), rose petals and dress forms. My sister added embellishments to the cages and dress forms (like ribbon), and the best part? She was able to use them after the party to decorate her daughters room!

The banner was one of those touches that make a statement. She threw this together in a few minutes using paper and cutouts!

This chandelier was one of my favorite decorations. She added crystals to the paper chandelier and made it look so stylish!
Games

Dress designing anyone? The party attendees were divided into two teams and had to design a dress from toilet paper and trash bags. It was so much fun and a perfect compliment for the Paris Themed Party.

This is spectacular, and perfect for my soon-to-be 12 yr old who claims she’s going to be a fashion designer in Paris one day. Even better? I believe her. I really like the dove idea.
I am so honored and thrilled to have my party featured on your blog! I had a wonderful time planning this party and made many trips to Michael’s with my 40% off coupons. The toilet paper create-a-dress game was Angie’s idea
It’s perfect Angie.
Well done.
Love it!! I am going to borrow some of these ideas for my daughter’s 10th birthday this month! I just wish that it was warm enough to have a party outside…. silly weather here in Michigan.

You and your family! Can we say Party Throwers Extraordinaire? That party was adorable! Now, how can I get you guys to do a party for me?
OMG I love all the decor! Turned out great!
I love themed birthday parties and you did an exception job on this one. Well done.
ah! so apparently there’s a ‘perfect party thrower’ gene you both have inherited. Must have come from your Mom’s side- that explains why I didn’t get it. (plus, can you imagine your DAD throwing these themed parties? LOL, I’m busting up just thinking about Uncle Snotty in Pink Paris!)
Love this party idea! Wish, I had had one myself, too.

Where did you get the paper chandelier?
I would like to know also. I love that chandelier!
Hi Jody! The paper chandelier is from the “Summer in Paris” cricut cartridge. It was from the Summer Collection.
