We found the best climbing tree around. I only wish it was nearer to my house because my kids (and their cousins) LOVED climbing on it. Fortunately for me, it was a perfect photo opportunity, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to get a shot of my kids with some of their cousins.

Do you have any good climbing trees in your neck of the woods? Anyone know what kind of tree this is?
Wordful Wednesday is like Wordless Wednesday, only WITH words. It’s for those of us that can’t contain the chatter, but in a good way. More info. in my tabber box titled WW on the right. Thank you for playing along!

That’s one great tree! Love the group shot. My grandmother had a willow tree in her backyard that my cousins and I used to hide out in during our childhood years. Good times.

Great photos! Our neighborhood is too new for big oak to climb. When we go camping, we typically find some good ones to climb.

Wow…that is an awesome tree. When we were younger, there was a great one where we would go camping!
That seriously looks like the Mac Daddy of all climbing trees! I was lucky to grow up with a big yard full of what seemed like giant trees. Many an afternoon I’d watch my mom look around the neighborhood for me from my seat on a top branch!

What a fabulous tree! When we lived in Hawaii, we had Banyans that allowed for the kids to swing on vines. It was heavenly.

Holy giant tree branch! What an amazing climbing tree! Sure puts the shame the pine trees my brother and I used to climb in our backyard growing up!
I’d venture to guess it might be an Oak tree or maybe a Chestnut tree – hard to tell without seeing the leaves.
Princess Nagger loves to climb the trees in our backyard, particularly the old apple tree right out back – I bet she’d go nuts with her dinosaur playing if we had a tree like that nearby!
What AMAZING shots of the kids! Absolutely frame-able!

We don’t have any trees quite that cool, but we do have an enormous evergreen tree at the park across the street that the kids LOVE to climb!
Growing up, I always loved to climb the big magnolia tree in my grandparents’ backyard. Part of me still wants to.
Wow, gotta love a good climbing tree. Judging by the number of kids on that branch, it looks like a good one! We have big trees like that here in southern Florida — could it be a banyan tree?

Last time I climbed a tree I fell out of it. I hope my kids are more agile than me
That’s a pretty spectacular tree! I always love “tree pictures” with kids. They can’t help but have a natural smile if they’re climbing a tree, and the contrasting textures make the pics interesting in both color and B&W.
a tree? I thought it was a dinosaur’s neck! haha…
That tree looks like it’d be super fun to climb on. There’s a couple of trees in a trail nearby our house that I’ve taken photo ops with. They make for pretty additions to the photos.
Wow! That is an amazing climbing tree. My girls would love to play on that tree. That picture just screams fun!!
Oh my gosh, I don’t think I have ever seen a tree that big before. How fun to have everyone on it for a picture.
What a fun tree! We just don’t have trees like that around here.
I tried to link up but the “boxes” to input my URL and link wouldn’t show up, so I couldn’t link up!

Aw! Adorable! That’s such a great photo of all the kids. Totally frame-worthy! My grandparents had an apple orchard when I was a kid. My cousins and I practically lived in those trees. I posted my first “not-so-wordy Wednesday” today and linked it above. Thanks for hosting!
Well that’s easy. It’s obviously a Giant Kidwood tree. That’s in the genus parvulus nemus, btw.
