You know how some holidays are more memorable than others because something really spectacular happened? Or something really terrible?
I recall the Christmas that I was in the 6th grade with more clarity than any other Christmas because I was sick. as. a. dog. So sick, in fact, that I couldn’t even drag myself downstairs to see what Santa brought me. {When I finally did I recall finding a brand new pair of hot pink stirrup leggings.}
Just like the Christmas of 1980 something was memorable for me, I have a feeling that the Christmas of ‘09 is going to be super memorable for someone I know. But in a good way.
The Christmas of ‘09 just may go down in history for Garrett as the one in which he ditched the training wheels and rode free.
