You know how some holidays are more memorable than others because something really spectacular happened? Or something really terrible?
I recall the Christmas that I was in the 6th grade with more clarity than any other Christmas because I was sick. as. a. dog. So sick, in fact, that I couldn’t even drag myself downstairs to see what Santa brought me. {When I finally did I recall finding a brand new pair of hot pink stirrup leggings.}
Just like the Christmas of 1980 something was memorable for me, I have a feeling that the Christmas of ’09 is going to be super memorable for someone I know. But in a good way.
The Christmas of ’09 just may go down in history for Garrett as the one in which he ditched the training wheels and rode free.

Nice! Looks like Santa made someone’s day! We got #1 a new bike when he learned to ride w/o trainers for his 7th birthday. We thought he looked like a circus clown on his previous bike b/c he was so much bigger than it. 2 years later, New Bike sits in the garage having been on less than 5 trips down the street since we bought it. Apparently, it’s too heavy for him so he now sits and watches #2 scream up and down the street on Old Bike. What’s a girl to do? How about sit here and be jealous that you guys were wearing short sleeve shirts on Christmas and here it’s been so cold the kids have had to ride their new scooters in the garage:(

Aw, look at him got! That’s awesome
I remember those stirrup pants…what were we all thinking?! Lol.
Your blog looks wonderful! I’ve toyed with the idea of moving to WP, but honestly I’m too inept to do it on my own and would need a whole lotta help.
Well done!

Woweee!! Merry Christmas! I’ll have to change up my link for you. Nice new digs!
I remember the one where I got my “Littles” doll house like it was yesterday. I STILL love that house (my mom still has it at her house and the grandkids play with it…)
Glad your little dude had a memorable one!

What a wonderful memory. We need to get our little one to ride without her training wheels. But with all of our snow it will have to wait until spring.
I tried to add your button, but I couldn’t get it to work on my site. I love the new look of your blog!

Major “Awwwwwwww!!!” moment! They grow way too fast, don’t they?
LOVE your new digs! So much easier to read!! I’m working on switching over to self-hosted with WordPress, too – hoping to have it done in time for the New Year!
There’s something funky going on with your button code – I changed it for my blog to this:
To get it to work…(we’ll see if the code actually shows up in the comment or if it’s just a blank space)
what a great thing to remember on such a blessed day
